Studio A School of Performing Arts

We have some VERY exciting news! 🤩🙌

We have a guest teacher coming all the way from Los Angeles, LA to teach at Studio A, and we are so excited to give our Elite Extension students the opportunity to learn from them! ✈️🔥

Jimena Casasola is a Costa Rican artist currently based in Los Angeles, CA. Integrating her passion for dance and well-being, Jimena completed her BFA in Dance and BA in Psychology at Chapman University, where she also co-directed Chapman’s hip hop team to a World Of Dance LA championship in 2026. She has set work and taught in Costa Rica, Guatemala, El Salvador, and the United States. She toured with Intrigue Dance Convention as an assistant for two seasons and is an apprentice to the Los Angeles based performance company MusEffect. From early mentorship by Ali Pfleger and training under professionals like Dwight Rhoden, Julianne O’Brien, and Wilson Mendieta, to performing works by choreographers such as Peter Chu, Kayla Kalbfleisch, and Jessica Starr. Jimena continues to seek opportunities to create, ignite, and connect.

This is such an amazing opportunity for our students to experience a different teacher, style and perspective from someone working in the industry in LA.
