Wishing the best of luck to Owen ‘OJ’ Manning & Culum Bennington kicking off their knockout rounds in their respective Men’s Fours teams at Tugun today.

Having gone unbeaten in sectional rounds, OJ will continue tomorrow morning with his singles knockout before his pairs campaign will continue with teammate Mitch Jackson (pictured) tomorrow evening.

🚨Australian Open 2026🚨

The AO has kicked off for another year and we have our first team through to the knockouts.

Debuting the new tournament shirts in QLD, Culum & Courtney Bennington progressed through a tough section and will play off against a team from the USA tonight at Club Helensvale!

🤜 Over 60’s Men’s Pairs Knockouts 🤛

Garry King and Alan Jolly have won through their section and first knockout to make the last 32 at the State Over 60’s Carnival.

Their next game kicks off at Barham shortly, good luck Edgemen!

🏆Greenlow Presentation Night🏆

Friday saw the club celebrate another successful year that saw 4/5 sides playing finals as well as Region, State & National titles.

All of our Club Champions for the season were awarded. The night also saw the Greenlow Medal and Trophy awarded for best player in Weekend & Midweek Pennant, along with individual side best player awards.

Congratulations to all the winners on a successful season, we’ll see you all again for 2026/27!

Congratulations Andrea on a great Novice Carnival! A ripping performance taking out the Women’s Singles title with a 21-14 victory!

𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 𝗡𝗼𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗮𝗹 | 𝗪𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻'𝘀 𝗦𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗹𝗲𝘀 𝗪𝗿𝗮𝗽

The Novice Women's singles got off to a great start in the morning with two very close games both ending 21-18. Mentone Edge's Andrea Gilcrist had a great win against Stanhope's Shirlene Hislop, where the two had a back and forth battle with 6 lead changes! It was 15-16 Shirlene's way before Andrea strung together 4 awesome ends to make the score 20-16. A great last bowl in the dying minutes of the game saw her win 21-18.

Keilor's Karen Dunball had a great game against Ivanhoe's Sue Scully. Karen was down 2-8 before levelling the scores 8 all. A few ends later saw her win multiple ends to make the score 18-11 in her favour. She then fought off a late charge from Sue as she tied the game 18 all, but Karen would pick up 3 to seal the game.

Now onto the finals, and what a game that was. Andrea was very strong out of the gate, taking the lead 17-5 with lots of multiples. Karen had a lot of resilience and managed to get back in control of the game, winning 6 consecutive ends to make the scores 12-17. 1 Shot to Andrea and 2 shots to Karen took the game to 18-14, and Andrea would pick up 3 in 2 ends to make it a 21-14 victory.

Congratulations 𝗔𝗻𝗱𝗿𝗲𝗮 𝗚𝗶𝗹𝗰𝗿𝗶𝘀𝘁, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 𝗡𝗼𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗪𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻'𝘀 𝗦𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗹𝗲𝘀 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗺𝗽𝗶𝗼𝗻.
