Wet-weather information
With rain around this week, please remember that SAF is an all-weather arena, so cancellation is unlikely. Only extreme weather conditions would see the competition cancelled. If this occurs, notification will be posted on LAQ’s page and website.

⏰ Please arrive at least 60 minutes before your scheduled event time.
Events may be brought forward by up to 30 minutes or delayed due to weather or event management requirements. Any changes will be announced at the venue, so please listen for updates throughout the day.

Athlete safety remains the priority at all times. We look forward to seeing you on Saturday!

🎂💙 50 years of Gold Coast Athletics! 💙🎂

Here are some photos from our club’s 50th birthday celebrations last Friday! Thank you to everyone who joined us to celebrate five decades of athletics, friendships and memories.

Tonight marks another moment in our club’s history—our final competition at Pizzey Park with a grass running track! 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️

Our grass track has been part of so many athletes’ journeys, from their first races to personal bests and lifelong friendships. While we’ll miss it, we can’t wait for construction to begin and our amazing club’s next chapter to take shape! 🚧✨
