A new season starts today and we’re so excited to welcome everyone back to Middlemount Aquatic Centre!

Monday to Friday
6AM to 10:30AM & 2:30PM to 7:30PM

Saturday and Sunday
10AM to 5PM

☀️ OCTOBER OPENING HOURS (from 6/10)

Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday
6AM to 12PM & 2PM to 8PM

Tuesday
6AM to 12PM & 2PM to 5:30PM

Saturday and Sunday
10AM to 6PM

Karyn is back as your Facility Manager this season and she has been busy throughout winter getting ready to welcome you all back and learning a brand new system for the centre.

Learn to Swim enrolments are going online! Online enrolments will open later this week, making it easier for families to secure their place. Keep an eye on our page for the enrolment link and all the details.

Please be patient with Karyn over the next week while they get used to the new system in action. There may be a few extra clicks and learning moments along the way, but we’ll work through them together.

To the dads and father figures who bring the family down, cheer from the poolside and are always ready with “one more go”, today we celebrate you 💙

Happy Father’s Day from Middlemount Aquatic Centre!

At Splash, we get to see fatherhood in a hundred little moments.

It is the dad arriving before sunrise for his morning laps.

The dad chasing excited kids through the gates with towels, goggles and half the house packed into one bag.

The dad watching from the sidelines, meeting a mate for coffee, sharing breakfast with the family or spending a long afternoon poolside while the kids make memories.

It is the dad encouraging one more lap, joining in the fun, volunteering with the local club or simply being the familiar face who always shows up.

And behind so many brave little swimmers is a dad who believed they could do it before they believed it themselves.

The dad who carried them into their very first swimming lesson.

Who sat on the pool deck through every nervous moment.

Who practised bubbles in the bath and celebrated two independent strokes like an Olympic gold medal.

The dad who stood at the edge of the pool saying, “You’ve got this.”

Then one day, “I’m scared” became “Watch me, Dad!”

These are the moments that make our aquatic centres, swim schools and cafés so much more than places to swim, learn or grab a coffee. They are places where families spend time together, milestones are celebrated and memories are made.

To the dads, stepdads, grandads and father figures across our Splash community, thank you for the early mornings, the wet hugs, the loud cheers, the quiet encouragement and every ordinary moment that means more than you realise.

For those missing someone special today, we know Father’s Day can feel a little different. You are part of our Splash family and we are thinking of you too.

The countdown is on! Our 2026/27 season kicks off Monday 7 September, and here are your entry fees and season ticket options for the season ahead.

Casual entry is just $3.40 for adults and children aged 2+, with children under 2 FREE.

☀️ Full season passes from $84
👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Family season passes available
👀 Spectator entry just $1.40

We’ve got plenty happening this season, including our new live lane and pool availability system, online Learn to Swim enrolments and a new parent portal.

We’re introducing some exciting new systems this season to make accessing the centre and managing your swimming easier.

You’ll soon have access to:

🏊 Online Learn to Swim enrolments
📱 A parent portal to manage your child’s enrolment

We’ll share more information over the coming days as everything comes together.

Learn to Swim and squad training will commence after the September school holidays.

⭐️ Meet Karyn ⭐️
Our Middlemount Aquatic Centre Manager.

Some people work in aquatics. Others live and breathe it.

With 24 years in the aquatic industry and a swimming journey that started back in 1980, Karyn brings a lifetime of experience, knowledge and passion to everything she does.

Over the past 6 years with Splash, Karyn has become a trusted leader, mentor and familiar face within the communities she serves. While she’s only been at Middlemount Aquatic Centre for 10 months, she has already made a significant impact on the centre, her team and the local community.

When asked what she loves most about her role, Karyn didn’t list just one thing. For her, it’s the people.

It’s the community connections, teaching and coaching children, supporting families, helping people achieve their goals and continuing to learn something new every day.

Her favourite thing about Splash?
💙 The opportunities.

And anyone who knows Karyn knows she embraces every one of them.

Whether she’s poolside coaching, supporting a team member or welcoming families through the gate, Karyn brings genuine care, professionalism and positivity to everything she does.

Favourite swimming stroke: Breaststroke

Happy Mother’s Day to all the incredible mums, grandmothers, carers, step mums, aunties, foster mums and mother figures in our Splash community.

Thank you for the early mornings, poolside cheers, warm towels, endless snacks, and the love and support you pour into your little swimmers every single week.

From first splashes to confident strokes, we know these moments are made possible because of you.

Today we celebrate all the women helping raise strong, safe and happy kids .. in and out of the water.

As I close the gates for the final time for the 2025/26 season, I can’t help but reflect on what an unforgettable season it has been.

Middlemount—you truly are something special. Starting this season was daunting: a new town and big shoes to fill. But from day one, you welcomed me with open arms and made me feel at home.

Just a few weeks in, I faced the most heartbreaking loss of my life with the passing of my dad, and I had to leave suddenly. Coming back to the kindness, empathy, and support from this community meant more to me than words can express. I will never forget it.

From there, I poured everything I had into this season and into this incredible community.

To my Learn to Swim, squad, and swimming club families—thank you for trusting me with your children. Watching them grow in confidence, take their first breaths and go under, swim their first laps, and achieve amazing things has been such a privilege. I am so proud of every single one of them. And to all the parents—thank you for your constant support and encouragement.

To everyone who walked through the gates this season, I hope you created memories and enjoyed your time with us.

To my amazing team—Kay, Lucy, Taylor, Violet, Bryce, Gabe, and Dakota—thank you for your hard work, dedication, and support throughout the season. And Kay Mitchell, thank you for being my right hand ❤️ I couldn’t have done it without you.

This season has challenged me, shaped me, and reminded me of the power of community. Thank you, Middlemount, for everything.
