Aerial Yin | Thursday mornings 6.45am
& Monday nights 7.30pm

You don’t always need to do more.
Sometimes you need to feel more.

Supported by the hammock, we stay a little longer.
We soften a little deeper.
We breathe into the places we usually rush past.

A client who hasn’t been to class for quite some time messaged me today.

Their work life had changed and they now work away every second week. They told me they’d love to come back to classes, but none of my current plans really worked with their new schedule.

And I’m so glad they messaged me.

Because life changes and sometimes your plan needs to change with it.

I created a customised plan that works with their work life, allowing them to practise when they’re home without paying for something they can’t use when they’re away.

If you’d love to come back, or come along for the first time, but none of my plans work with your life āž”ļø talk to me.

I’m happy to create a plan that works with your life, not against it.

With love, Irina

It doesn’t matter where you practise, where you teach or where you hold space for yourself or for others.

You don’t need the perfect room, the perfect setting or the perfect moment to create something meaningful.

Any space can become a sanctuary when you bring presence into it.

Because peace doesn’t begin with the space around you.

Peace starts within.

You’ll get to practice with me again on the 20th October.

With love, Irina

TRATAKA (Candle Gazing Meditation)

Trataka is a traditional candle-gazing meditation where we rest our gaze steadily on the flame.

After some time, we close the eyes and observe the image of the flame that remains behind the eyelids.
This is allowing our focus to move from the outside, inward.

A simple practice of stillness, concentration and awareness.

I asked men why they don’t do yoga.
Two answers stayed with me.

One was about progress. The other was about masculinity.

And maybe these two answers aren’t as different as they first seem.

We are very good at recognising progress we can see:
more weight, more muscle, more speed, more distance.

But what about the progress we feel?

More mobility, strength and balance.
A steadier breath.
Being less reactive.
Staying present when things get uncomfortable.
Listening to your body.
Becoming more aware of yourself.
Allowing vulnerability without seeing it as weakness.

There are many ways to become stronger.

Yoga builds strength, just not all of it is visible.

And perhaps we can broaden what strength looks like. šŸ’Ŗ

To the men reading this who have ever been a little curious about yoga: this is your invitation.

Different goals call for different styles of yoga.
Whatever you want to work on, there’s a place to start.
Send me a DM and I will help you find your class!

And if you have something to add to this conversation, I would genuinely love to hear it. Comment below.

Because of what I shared with you this morning, I wanted to remind you why I introduced our 1 Month Immersion Membership in February this year:
A Nervous System RESET.

A 4 week commitment to yourself and your wellbeing, with unlimited access to all classes.

Because I understand that sometimes we hit rock bottom. Sometimes life simply asks too much of us. We move through different seasons and there are times when we need more support, more movement, more stillness, more space to come back to ourselves.

Many of you have already made use of this plan.
Each student gets the opportunity to use it once.

If you haven’t used yours yet and you feel like you need it, perhaps the first day of spring is your time.
Tomorrow. Next week. Next month.
Whenever you need it most.

Your energy is priceless.

More valuable than money. More valuable than things.

Because when your energy is low, everything feels harder. And when you feel full, grounded and energised, you have so much more to give.

So protect your energy.
Be mindful of where you spend it, who you give it to and what you allow to drain it.

That’s what IBAERIALANDYOGA | Irina Bigge is here for.

A space to move, breathe, sweat, speed up or slow down and REFILL YOUR CUP.

With love, Irina

Have you felt the shift in the studio lately?

This 8 minute video shares the personal reason why my teaching has shifted towards practices that also help us slow down, regulate and find our way out of that constant fight-or-flight state.

Listen if you’re interested, swipe along if you’re not.
Both are perfectly okay.

Have a beautiful morning. 🌿

Nothing has changed about the beautiful yoga flows you know and love.

But my classes have become more intentional about something beyond the physical practice too, giving your mind the opportunity to become stronger, steadier and more resilient.

I teach and hold space for a practice for the BODY, yes.
But just as much, a practice for the MIND.

Once upon a time eight Pilates Princesses wandered into a yoga studio.
They breathed. They stretched. They balanced. They laughed (a lot).
And somewhere between the first pose and the relaxation
the Pilates Princesses became Aerial Yoga Queens.
And they all lived happy and flexible ever after.

The end. šŸ˜„

What a fun afternoon spend with this private group!
Well done ladies!
