Coaches Awards for Rad Humans

Two coaches awards were celebrated last night giving these humans the recognition they have earned.

ThumpHers award in recognition of her speedy track repairs & commitment to the task across all three games following her own on Saturday. A social human who despite initial hesitation stuck it out to the end. Recognition from visiting official Sparky on your efforts & we see you too Thump. Thank you 🤩

Demolition has been awarded for his positive vibes, & upholding our league values during our junior game on Saturday. Demolition is working hard towards level 3, and his attitude & ability on Saturday to support our newer humans is a huge part of becoming emotionally ready for the next steps. Keep working hard Dem we are super proud of you.

First down the rabbit hole are our incredible junior teams – the Door Mouse Dashers and the TeaPot Terrors!

These young skaters may be small, but don’t let that fool you. They’ll be bringing fearless jams, clever teamwork, growing confidence, and plenty of derby magic to the track.

We’re also thrilled to welcome our special guest skaters:
✨ Slambulance, travelling all the way from Bendigo to skate with the Door Mouse Dashers.
✨ Sassy B also from Dragon City Roller Derby , joining the TeaPot Terrors.

It’s the perfect way to kick off our Wonderland adventure, celebrating friendship, inclusion, and the next generation of roller derby.

This weekend one of our own is rolling into Sydney to trial for Team Australia Junior Roller Derby, and we couldn’t be prouder!

Moovit is so much more than an incredible skater. They’re a valued member of our league, a fantastic junior coach, a supportive teammate and someone who brings positivity, encouragement and great vibes to every training and every game.

You’ve worked incredibly hard for this opportunity, and no matter what happens this weekend, you’ve already achieved something amazing. Thank you for representing our league and our regional roller derby community with pride.

Go out there, skate your heart out, have fun and show them what regional grit looks like.

This month is a big one! Sat August 1st we are excited to welcome skaters from Dragon City Roller Derby in Bendigo and Murder City Roller Derby in Adelaide to hit the track here in Mildura. Which means more Derby fun!!

Bring a chair & get yourself comfy trackside for four massive games full of action.

4pm - Senior Modified Contact Game
6pm - WFTDA Full Contact: Chiko Rollers vs Homicidolls
