📣 ONE MONTH TO GO 📣

Just a little something to start your morning — we are officially ONE MONTH OUT from the Mildura Gateway $10K to win Wingless Sprint Stampede! 🤠

This time next month, the cars will be hitting the track for night one of racing and things will be well and truly underway.

We will also be opening up nominations on our website for support classes in the next couple of days. So if you haven’t already, this is your sign to get your car registered and ready to race.
Saturday 3rd: SSA Modified Sedans
Sunday 4th: SSA Junior Sedans (top stars & new stars), classic sedans and vintage hot rods.

See you all on October 3rd & 4th for what’s shaping up to be one of the biggest Wingless Sprint meetings on the calendar. 🏁

Now that we are only days away from our season getting started, we have scheduled a working bee on Sunday 13th of September from 9am onwards.

We’ve been flat out during the off season upgrading the complex and it’s time to put the finishing touches on.
MASSIVE thanks goes to our dedicated retirees who have spent nearly every day of the off season at the track. These guys have worked wonders and it doesn’t go unnoticed!

Some of the things that need completing:
- painting of various things around the complex
- Clean the new booth, old booth & VIP area
- General tidy up of the grounds
- Move the souvenir displays from the container to their new home
- Lift and fix fence mesh along the back straight

List of tools to bring along:
- shovels/rakes
- Whipper snippers
- Drill & tech gun
- We also need a ute & trailer to move the souvenir
displays so please let us know if you can supply this

The more people around with tools and equipment, the quicker everything will get done so whatever you can bring, please do.

There is people out at the track most days of the week and there is always something to do so just send us a message if you have some free time. We will also have another working bee on the 27th of September.

There will be a bbq lunch and drinks available from the bar in the club rooms. If you aren’t into physical labour we would love a couple volunteers to cook the bbq 🥩

📣 IT’S OFFICIALLY GO TIME! 📣

The off-season is nearly over and Practice is happening September 19th! 🏁

Now’s your chance to give the race car a proper shakedown, make sure everything is ready to go… or maybe you just need to check the talent shaft is still working after the break 🤫

All classes are welcome.
Wingless Sprints: Please nominate via your Fueled portal. Practice will be added to Fueled within the next couple of days.
All other classes: Please comment on this post to put your name down.

A few important things to remember:
• Your race car MUST be registered. If your car needs to be daylighted, please speak to the appropriate people ASAP.

• You MUST hold the correct licence for the class you are driving. For example, if you’re driving a Street Stock, your licence must state “SSA Street Stock.” Licences will be checked. One-day licences are accepted, however the same class requirements apply.

• All cars will be checked by scrutineers. Please make their job a little easier and give your car a once-over beforehand — particularly your belts and window net to ensure they are still in date. It’s an easy one to overlook at the beginning of a new season!

Following on from practice we’ll be opening up the clubrooms for a social catch-up. The bar will be operating (NO BYO) and there will be a bbq. perfect opportunity to catch up with everyone after the off-season, have a feed and a couple of drinks before we officially kick into racing season! 🍻🌭

🚫 No licence = no pit entry

RACE FANS If you’ve been hanging out for your speedway fix, come on down and get an early taste of the action! The canteen will be operating and entry is free into the spectator area.

🩷 A LITTLE PINK, A WHOLE LOTTA COUNTRY! 🤠

This October, the 2026 Mildura Gateway $10K to Win Wingless Sprint Stampede will be about more than just racing.

On October 3 & 4, B&S Earthworks Timmis Speedway will TURN PINK as we raise awareness and funds for Breast Cancer Network Australia (BCNA), while also paying tribute to a much-loved member of the Wingless Sprint community, Tania Walsh. 🩷

Breast cancer is the most common cancer affecting Australian women, touching the lives of thousands of Australians and their families every year.

Breast Cancer Network Australia is Australia’s leading breast cancer consumer organisation, working to ensure Australians affected by breast cancer receive the very best care, treatment and support.

Timmis Speedway will donate 10% of profit made over the weekend to BCNA.

Mildura Gateway continue to support us as Naming Rights Sponsor, while also supplying pink bandanas, which will be available at the track for just $5 each, with 100% of the proceeds donated to BCNA. 🩷

So make sure you grab a bandana, wear it proudly and help us TURN TIMMIS PINK! 🩷

This year’s Stampede will hold an extra special meaning.

In July, the Wingless Sprint community sadly lost Tania Walsh following her battle with breast cancer.

Tania dedicated so much of her time, energy and heart to Wingless Sprint racing. Her contribution to the sport and the people within it will not be forgotten.

As we turn Timmis pink, we want to honour Tania’s strength, her dedication and the impact she made on our racing community.

AGM Done & Dusted for 2026/27! 🏁

A HUGE thank-you to everyone involved in making the 2025/26 Season what it was.

To our outgoing Committee — thank you for all your hard work, commitment and support throughout the season. We simply could not have achieved what we did without you.

A massive thank-you also goes to all our Volunteers and Members who put in the time, effort and support throughout the season. Your contribution is what keeps our Club moving forward.

And a HUGE thank-you to our Retirees who have spent countless hours helping with our Facility Upgrades. The work you have all put in is incredible, and the place is looking absolutely amazing! 👏👏

It was certainly an up and down season, with a few rain outs, including some of our bigger events that unfortunately we just didn’t have enough time to reschedule. But despite that, we still achieved a hell of a lot, had some awesome racing and continued to make some big improvements to our facility.

Now it’s time to look forward to 2026/27 and we will definitely be aiming to make it bigger, better and even more exciting! 🏁🔥
