Ladies it’s time to know how your body works and how it can affect your athletic performance

Phase 1: Menstruation (3-7 days)
Progesterone levels drop, resulting in a bleed. Energy levels will start to pick back up.
If you have fallen pregnant before this stage, progesterone and estrogen levels will begin to climb.

Phase 2: Follicular (13-14 days)
Starts on the first day of your period and lasts for 13-14 days. Estrogen is high and therefore your strength and energy levels will reflect this. It’s time to train hard during this period.

Phase 3: Ovulation (16-32 hours)
Estrogen is at its peak and so is your strength and energy levels. This is the phase where you are releasing an egg (or multiple eggs) This is a great time for lifting heavy and high intensity workouts.
You’re more likely to hit personal beats during the first half of your second.

Phase 4: Luteal (up to 14 days) :
The second half of a woman's cycle. Progesterone levels come to a peak. This affects your strength and energy levels, where you'll feel hotter than usual and tire more quickly when exercising. Decreasing training intensity during this phase is recommended as you're more likely to injure yourself during the second half of your cycle.

No cycle is the same and can be affected by medical conditions such as PCOS, endometriosis and thyroid conditions.

Something to keep in mind is women who are on contraception, such as the pill, don't experience a regular cycle as they don't ovulate. Therefore when you bleed on the pill you aren't experiencing a real menstruation as it's only a withdrawal bleed from the medication.

It's always recommended to chat to a doctor if you have any concerns or questions about your cycle.

Introducing our STRONG MUMS 💪🏼🔥

A six-week progressive strength block designed to help mums build strength, confidence and capability in a supportive small-group environment.

Kicking off on Wednesday 23 September, each week builds on the last, with a focus on progressive overload, quality movement and getting stronger over time, not just getting through a workout.

Across the six weeks, we’ll focus on:

- Building full-body strength
- Strengthening the core and pelvic floor through appropriate movement
- Improving stability, balance and mobility
- Building confidence with resistance training
- Developing strength for everyday life; lifting, carrying, chasing kids and everything in between
- Progressively increasing strength and capacity across the block

The goal is to leave the six weeks feeling not only stronger, but more confident in what your body is capable of 🙌🏼

The 6-week block will kick off on Wednesday 23 September and the class will be held at 9:15am.

Ready to feel stronger, fitter and more confident? Send us a DM to get started.

Limited spots available.

We’re entering a new chapter 💖

While our group classes will be coming to an end, the gym you know and love isn’t going anywhere. We’re evolving with a stronger focus on personalised training, individual goals and one-on-one coaching.

We’re incredibly grateful for the community we’ve built through our classes and we know this change may feel big. But we’re excited about what’s ahead and the opportunity to give our members an even more personalised approach to their training and progress.

Swipe through for more on what this next chapter looks like 🤍

More details on the transition will be shared soon. We thank you for your ongoing support 🫶🏼
