OI MILES… WE’VE GOT A WOODSY PROBLEM!
Tomorrow night, we say “see you later” to one of our own.
Woodsy is heading off on a long-deserved holiday, and tomorrow night will be his last social bowls game at Miles for a little while.
We know it’s not forever… but we’re pretty sure the club is going to feel a little different without him.
Woodsy has been a huge part of Miles Bowls Club for a long time. He’s been there for the laughs, the bowls, the banter and plenty of memories — and tomorrow night, we want to give him the send-off he deserves.
So, Miles… COME DOWN TO THE CLUB TOMORROW NIGHT!
Have a roll.
Have a laugh.
Raise a glass.
And send our mate off properly.
And Woodsy… we couldn’t let you leave without mentioning a few things we’re going to miss:
Your funny one-liners
Your famous “Awwww, that’s bad luck.”
And your absolute confidence in your own bowls…
“God, that was a beautiful bowl.”
And while you’re travelling around…
We hope you notice someone waving at you along your travels!
Because after all these years, I’m pretty sure some of us have waved, smiled and practically performed a full roadside routine — and you’ve just kept driving!
So keep your eyes peeled, Woodsy!
Enjoy every minute of your holiday, mate. You’ve more than earned it.

You’ll be missed more than you probably realise.
