To my CPP fam: I promise you’ll survive without me — because Bogyeung, Myra, Minji, Lisa are holding it down while I’m away 💕
8 years in, and I’m learning: The studio survives. You survive. I come back better when I trust my team and take the break 🙏
So grateful for this reset. And for you 💕

Corepower Pilates
Group reformer, tower pilates classes, private sessions. Classical Pilates certification courses. Amy is the studio owner & director of Corepower Pilates.
She attained her certification in the Classical Pilates Method in NYC. Pilates Tower combines classical mat work with the resistance of springs and bars challenging the body in an entire body workout. Tower is upright and works muscles at different angles and the workout can be more intensified with a tower than a reformer. A Pilates Reformer resembles a bed frame with resistance springs attached
Korea self-care diaries 🇰🇷
Started with a hyperbaric oxygen chamber nap + an IV vitamin drip. Did it help? No idea, but I felt fancy.
Then: Korean BBQ, hot soup on rainy days, and catching up with Chloe and my old CorePower Pilates crew.
Stopped by HYBE — home of BTS — and ended with the best massage of my life.
Holidays hit different when you actually slow down.

What is Pilates, really? 🤔
If you thought it’s just the Reformer… you’re missing 80% of the method.
Joseph Pilates created a full system:
Mat → the foundation. Your body, gravity, precision.
Reformer → the most famous, but just one apparatus.
Cadillac, Chair, Barrel → designed to challenge, support, and deepen your practice.
He meant for us to use all of them. Each piece teaches your body something different. Together? That’s Contrology — full-body integration, strength, and mobility.
Pilates isn’t an apparatus. It’s a method. And the mat is where it all started ✨
What’s your favorite piece of equipment? Comment👇
Want to teach Pilates, not just cue exercises?
Our Classical Mat Certification returns to Milsons Point on 13 June.
This is for teachers who want to go deeper. We work through the original mat order the way Joseph Pilates designed it – the transitions, the rhythm, the why behind each movement – so you can teach it with real clarity.
You graduate able to teach anywhere, with a classical foundation you can actually stand behind.
Next Sydney intake
• Starts: Friday 13 June
• Location: Core Power Pilates, Milsons Point
• Small group. Full classical mentoring. Not a mass-market course.
Intake is open now and places are limited.
DM MAT and I’ll send you the prospectus with dates, structure and fees.

A couple of months ago our studio dog Sebbie suddenly became very unwell.
During a walk his legs gave way and one side of his face started drooping. He was later diagnosed with facial nerve paralysis, which was a very scary time for us.
That was also why I wasn’t in the studio as much for a while. I needed to be home caring for him.
The good news is that Sebbie is doing much better now and slowly returning to his usual role greeting everyone at the studio door. 🐶
Many of you asked what happened, so I’ve shared Sebbie’s story in a short video.

Thank you for all the kind messages and for supporting the team while I was away.
