The excitement may be all about the finals for most this coming Saturday, but for Emma Lukong there’s an added bonus as she celebrates 50 games with CMS Crows.
Emma joined us from Paskeville in 2024 as a member of our senior netball group, and it’s fair to say she has brought a spark and passion for a good time as well as strong netball skills.
Emma’s highly entertaining sense of humour brings such a buzz to her team.
As a competitor she is relentless, her pressure on the ball and her opponent makes her a formidable asset to our defensive end, in no small part contributing to Premiership wins; one in 2024, again in 2025 and going for a third this week. As D grade captain this year she has lead by example and always been the loudest voice out there.
Congratulations Emma - here’s to the next 50!

What a way to finish our final Community Teas for the winter season! ❤️

Honestly, I have no words - our community showed up tonight, and we couldn’t be prouder or more grateful. 🫶🏼

It’s a huge week for our CMS Crows Football & Netball Club, and tonight our players came out, trained together, shared a meal and backed one another. There was even a moment when I’m fairly certain the girls were playing statues - and honestly, how good is that? 😂

They’re confident, connected and completely in tune with each other. Now it’s time to take that energy into the weekend! 💪💪💪

Thank you to everyone who joined us tonight and to every person who has supported our Community Teas throughout the season. You are what makes our facility such a special place. Our wonderful volunteers ❤️❤️ a little goes a long way and you are always appreciated 🤝🤝

Congratulations to our A Grade skipper Finn “Bettsy” Betterman, who will play his 50th senior game for CMS this Saturday in the Grand Final!

Bettsy joined the club in 2024 and immediately made his mark, earning the role of Vice Captain in his first season. He enjoyed plenty of on-field success, winning the Greg Germein Medal (A Grade Club Best & Fairest) and finishing just one vote shy of the Mail Medal.

He backed that up again in 2025 with another Best & Fairest, before going one better on Grand Final day, leading the team to a Premiership as Captain and taking home Best on Ground honours.

While injury has kept Bettsy on the sidelines for part of the 2026 season, we’re looking forward to seeing him lead the team once again this Saturday as we fight to make it back-to-back premierships.

One of the best midfielders in the competition, Bettsy has a great mix of inside and outside attributes. He wins the hard ball, uses the footy exceptionally well and regularly hits the scoreboard.

50 games, multiple Best & Fairests, currently a 1 time Premiership Captain and a Grand Final Best on Ground.

Congratulations on an outstanding milestone Bettsy and good luck Saturday!

🏐 Huge congratulations to our CMS A grade players named in the Yorke Peninsula Country Times Team of the Year.
🏐The enormity of this accolade can’t be understated with players receiving votes from their peers amongst the competition across the season.
🏐It’s a huge honour, and one that our players don’t receive lightly.

With A, B, C, D, D2, E & G Grade netball all in the GF and the A Grade footballers in as well - this Saturday night will be the start of a huge weekend of celebrating for a fantastic year!!

Our AGM was held on 7 September with the 2026/2027 committee now in place.

We are looking forward to the season ahead and another summer of cricket and community. 🤝
