The Miriam Vale Mixed Open was held on Saturday, 12 September. Our sponsors for the day were Andersons Auto City, Gladstone and we thank the Anderson Family for its continued support for this important event on our golfing calendar.

⛳️ Nicky's Versus Par - results ⛳️

On Wednesday, 9 September we had a good field of 13 Ladies contesting a Versus Par. Our Sponsor for the day was Nicky who donated trophies for the Winner and for the pinshots - thank you for your support Nicky .
Our very popular Winner was Joyce with a magic +4 from Kaye with +1. In third place was Lois on a countback from Jan – both all square.
The Division 1 pinshot was won by Allison R. with 87cms and the Division 2 pinshot was won by Jane “In The Hole” Solis – in the hole.
Congratulations Ladies.

Next Wednesday is our Hart Ball event sponsored by Kate. The Hart Ball is played in teams of 3 – so far we have 5 teams nominated and Pam F. is looking for a couple of ladies to join her team. Tee off is 9:00am and cost will be $25.00.

Also a reminder that the Golf Central Queensland Opens for Men and Ladies is coming up on Saturday, 19 and Sunday, 20 September at Emu Park and Yeppoon. In previous years players had to qualify to be eligible to play in this event, but in 2026 GCQ has made the change to entry via nomination.

Good golfing to all of our Lady and Gentlemen Members playing in the Mixed Open on Saturday. We have 36 players nominated in the Mixed Open and there will be a 2 Person Ambrose for the Overflow. Shotgun start at 10:30am and cost will be $30.00 which includes a sandwich for lunch.

Today the Miriam Vale Men's members played there Saturday Competition being Monthly Medal, Putter of the year Qualifyer and Mick Turner Trophy Day 🏆. Thank you Mick for your generosity on today's prizes 👍.

⛳️ Ladies Results - September Monthly Medal and Sue K.'s Trophy ⛳️

We had a good field of 11 players for the September Monthly Medal on Wednesday, 2 September. Sue K. donated trophies for the winner and the runner up - many thanks Sue for sponsoring the day.
The winner of the September Monthly Medal and Sue K.’s trophy, with an amazing 62 nett was Jan. Allison R. was runner up with 67. Third was Allyson F. with 71 from Kristen with 73 on a countback from Jane and Kaye.
The Division 1 pinshot winner was Kaye with 89cms and the Division 2 pinshot winner was Jan with 6cms.

A reminder that nominations for Andersons Auto City Mixed Open Championship on Saturday, 12 September close next Wednesday, so you still have time to get your nominations in.

⛳️ Men's Comp Saturday 29th ⛳️

Yesterday was the final round for the Annual Founders Cup and also Gary Whitmore Trophy Day, thank you Gary for your generosity. This was a Stroke Event with some very Handy scores amongst a great field of our men's members.

The 2026 Founders Cup Trophy 🏆 goes to Mick Turner, Mick had two great rounds over the two weekends to take the win with a handy score of 137 Nett. Congratulations Mick on your win 👍.
This is one of the trophies all members look to win each year, so its definitely a hard one..

⛳️Joan Noon trophy and Founders Cup results⛳️

On Wednesday, 27 August we had 12 players vying for trophies donated by Joan Noonan. Joan donated trophies for the winner and the runner up, and we thank her for her support for our club.
We played a Stroke and popup Medal in conjunction with the second round of the Founders Cup with trophy donated by Life Member Colin Bayliss.
The winner of Joan’s trophy, with an equal personal best of 65, was Allison R. from runner up Allyson F. with 67. Jo took third place with 69 from Sue K. with 71.
The Division 1 pinshot winner was Allyson F. with 87cm and the Division 2 pinshot winner was Pam C. with 6cms.

The winner of the prestigious Founders Cup for 2026 was Allyson F. with 133 from Sue K with 141, Allsion R. with 142 on a countback from Donna and Jo took fifth place with 143.
