VOLUNTEER LEVY // A HUGE thank you to all the players, parents and community members who already volunteer at Sturt Baseball Club — coaching, scoring, umpiring, helping on the committee and so much more. Our club exists because of volunteers! 🙌

To help keep SBC strong and sustainable, from the 2026/27 season we’re introducing a Volunteer Levy:
⚾ Individual: $150
⚾ Family (2+ players): $300 max

Members can either volunteer during the season in approved roles or pay the levy instead. We anticipate approximately 3–4 shifts per registered player.

Volunteer roles include canteen/BBQ, bar, casual scoring, groundskeeping and community umpiring. Season-long coaches, managers, scorers and committee members are exempt.

🥪 Our canteen is especially important — it provides vital revenue to the club, so it will now be staffed by volunteers. Training is available, so don’t worry if you’re new to it!

💙 SUPPORT JORDY // ADELAIDE CITY PLUNGE

Next Friday (28 Aug), Jordy will be taking the plunge down the InterContinental Adelaide as he represents the Adelaide Giants in the Adelaide City Plunge, raising vital funds to support cancer patients and their families travelling from regional and rural areas to access treatment.

“This August I will be taking part and representing the Adelaide Giants in the Adelaide City Plunge down the InterContinental, to raise money for cancer patients and their families to travel from the country for treatments.

This cause is close to my heart after watching my Mum battle and lose the fight to cancer eight years ago. Any donation, big or small, will help families in need.

BASEBALL SCORING CLINICS // The South Australian Baseball Scorers Association - SABSA are holding scoring clinics for Beginners, Level 1 & Level 2.

Whether you're new to scoring, want to refresh your skills before the season, or you're a junior parent looking to learn, these clinics are the perfect opportunity! 😉

Want to improve your baseball scoring skills? We will be holding Scoring Clinics for Beginners, Level 1 & Level 2.

JUNIOR PRESEASON STARTS // The wait is over! Sturt Junior Preseason kicks off TOMORROW 😁

If your child has been thinking about trying baseball, now is the perfect time to join us! New players are welcome, and we'll have spare gloves available for all beginners.

Come down, meet our friendly coaches and make some new friends! We look forward to seeing new faces and welcoming back our returning junior players!
