All the Saturday and Friday night Baseball results
The first of many double headers this season with the Saints visiting the Magpies at Semaphore and finishing the second game under lights. Nice! The afternoon “storm” washed out the D2’s but the A grade was able to play the two scheduled games. The 3’s got their 9am game played, the 6’s played at Sturt, the 4’s won their first game of the season, and the Lady Saints made it 2 from 2 on Friday night

Division 1: Game one was the Jordan McArdle show with two home runs and 4RBI’s and it was his second homer with Sturt down 4-5 that scored 3 to be the eventual winning scoreline. Game was shortened to 6 innings. Sturt 7 defeated Port Adelaide 5.
Hits: McArdle 3 (2HR), Green 2, Knuckey, Edwards, Hennessey
Pitching: Wells 4.2IP, 8K, ER. McClure 1.1IP, K, BB,

Game 2: A Mitch Edwards double scored the first run for the Saints and a 3-run bomb, top of the second from Harry Knuckey put the Saints up 4-1. The Saints scored another 4 in the 4th, and the Magpies had a late rally in the 9th to score 4 and the final score was 8-5. Sturt welcomed import Clay Kennedy to the Saints family.
Hits: Knuckey 3 (HR) (2B), McArdle 2, Garcia 2, Brebner-Russ (2B), Edwards (2B), Hennessey
Pitching: Kennedy 3IP, 5K, 5BB, ER. Hutton 3IP, 2K, 2BB, McClure 2IP, 4K, BB, Lightbody 1IP, K, 2ER
Back home to Sturt next week where we face the reigning premiers in a double header that will be two cracking games with both teams starting the season 4 from 4.

WOMEN’S BASEBALL // What a way to kick off the season! Our WD2 Saints had plenty of laughs and great team spirit in their first home game against Goodwood on Friday night, coming away with a 9–5 WIN! 🙌

A special shoutout to Steph who made her senior baseball debut! Her enthusiasm was infectious and she backed it up with a cracking hit and a solid performance in the field. Even better, she shared the occasion with her mum, Jazz!

Mel also made her baseball debut, taking an early hit-by-pitch in her stride before making her way around the bases to score!

The team is training next Wednesday 28 October and we would love to welcome some new faces! No experience needed! Come along, meet the team and give it a try.

SCORING // Shoutout to our Junior Coordinator, Lulu, who kindly gave up her time on Friday night to score our Women’s Division 2 game while showing Dave and two of our junior players, Tommy and James, how to score a game!

A great example of how everyone can play a part at our club, and fantastic to see our juniors learning another side of the game!

Thanks Lulu, for giving your time and helping others get involved in the game! 🙌💙
