All the girls competed against overseas opponent's and we could not be prouder of them and their commitment to being the best versions of themselves, while testing themselves under the pressure of competition.

Great work team! 4 new Qld State Champions and lots experience gained.

Jessica Lavers-McBain leads from the front again! She has won the New Zealand Wrestling Nationals held in Dunedin. With less than 24hrs of being home from Japan, Jess flew to New Zealand and through absolutely perseverance and determination was victorious. She had a total of six matches and showed great skill and is bring home the Gold to BDK.

Everyone at Black Dragon Kai could not be prouder of her.

Congratulations to Bella Ferarro and Jessica Lavers-McBain who have now qualified to represent Australia at the Oceania Wrestling Championship held later in March at American Samoa.
Also at the same venue as the Australian Oceania Trials Competition today was the NSW State Wrestling Championship, which was open to non citizens.
Nachi Bowater won Gold in a dominant performance.
Jessica Lavers-McBain won Silver after defeating both Australian and German opponents by pin, however losing the final against a strong Mongolian opponent.
We could not be prouder of our 3 BDK Wrestlers, reconfirming themselves as International level athletes.

Big congratulations to Dylan Bowater who competed in Sydney on the weekend in Wrestling for the first time. He had three matches scoring great points against all his opponents. Not only that he won his second match decisively by pin. Super Coach Nachi was there to corner her husband. BDK is proud of you both.

Huge congratulations to Isabella Ferraro who is now a 6 times Australian Wrestling Champion. Winning all her matches by pin in Perth, Western Australia. BDK could not be prouder of her.

Great work today for BDK Wrestler and Coach Nachi Masuda who won the Silver Medal at the South East Asian & Oceania Wrestling Tournament representing Black Dragon Kai and Australia.

With the final going the full distance the match needed to be decided by a point advantage.

Well done Nachi and Bella - we are all so proud of you both.

BDK Wrestler Isabella Ferraro is currently training in the USA on a 2 week Wrestling Camp, in preparation for this year's Youth Nationals. Bella is currently 5 times Australian National Champion.
