HMAA and DVMA

Next cap off the rank is a very "on brand" Greig Ewen lining up for 3 hours of rolls to get his well deserved black belt.

We all know how good Greig is, he is the epitome of building a personalised game and terrifying everyone with it. I'm sure everyone will agree that he is every inch the black belt.

Come along on the 12th of December at 10am to celebrate with Greig.

Well folks, it is time to start ticking off the list of those who will be grading on the 12th of December.

First of all, join us in celebrating the step to Black Belt of Michael Woodruff

Woody is a legend, with us from the very start and a man who always puts his team mates a head of himself. Three hours of rolling is always tough, but there is no doubt that Woody will handle it with the tenacity of everything he does.

Congrats Woody!!!!!

Nothing like open mat shenanigans....

Poor old Charlie is having a hard time of it!

Congrats to the amazing Charlie Wootton and Jack on their amazing performances at CJT2 Combat Jiu Jitsu last night.

Charlie was the absolute epitome of control, patience and discipline, showing the importance of position and posture as he set up the head and arm choke win. Thanks to Joey Mineall for a great match.

Jack showed the importance of focus in order to be playful and creative. Jack threatened from everywhere and used every situation as an opportunity to take the win by heel hook (or maybe knee bar?), great work!

Thanks to the fabulous Neil Campbell for his work with the team and a huge thanks to Tasmanian Submission Championships for putting on the event.

Keep it up Tassie!

Our own Scott Campbell went to train tonight with the legend Benny “The Jet” Urquidez Benny "the jet" Urquidez.

A wonderful thing about Martial Arts is the ability to meet and train with your idols. There is no doubt that there will be plenty of new things for HMAA to play with after this.

Can't wait for the next class!!!!
