📢 TOURNAMENT UPDATE: Sunshine Coast Open Pickleball postponed

After carefully monitoring the weather forecast and considering all available options, we have made the difficult decision to postpone the Sunshine Coast Open Pickleball Tournament.

📅 NEW DATES: 27–29 November 2026
📍 KT Academy Mooloolaba

This was not a decision we made lightly. We know many of you have been looking forward to this weekend, registered for multiple events and locked in travel and accommodation, and we sincerely apologise for the inconvenience.

Why the change?
☔ Player safety was our priority
🏫 The new dates allow us to secure the school’s undercover area if the weather doesn’t cooperate (it wasn’t available for this weekend)
🏓 Everyone gets the chance to finish all their games and enjoy our new courts in the best possible conditions

What this means for you:
✅ Can’t make the new dates? We’ll arrange a full refund. Email us at [email protected] or send us a DM to let us know.
✅ Registrations will reopen for players who couldn’t make the original dates but are free 27–29 November.
✅ We’ll respond to all questions and refund requests as soon as possible.

We appreciate your patience, understanding and flexibility while we work through the changes and respond to everyone’s enquiries.

Thank you for your support. We can’t wait to welcome you all to KT Academy Mooloolaba for a fantastic weekend of pickleball! 💙💚

Two Aussies. Two huge wins. Both proudly Mooloolaba Tennis Club members!

Barry Stewart is our Senior Amateur Player of the Tournament at the 2026 Stockland Halcyon Australian Pickleball Championships!

He claimed a Triple Crown, taking gold in the 70+ Men’s Singles, Men’s Doubles (with Ron Gatliff) and Mixed Doubles (with Winnie Green).

And speaking of great achievements, Graeme Clemett has been named Male MVP of the 2026 Pickleball World Cup! His skill, sportsmanship and determination made him a standout throughout the tournament.

We’re currently sitting at #7 on the Club Leaderboard for the PPA1500!

The leaderboard shows clubs based on how many players from each club have entered the PPA1500.

The PPA1500 is a top-tier pickleball tournament, offering 1,500 ranking points to the winners and attracting players from across Australia and beyond. It’s a chance to compete, earn ranking points and test yourself against some of the best players in the game.

Which means that KT Academy is currently the 7th club with the most players entered in the PPA1500.

That’s a pretty big show of support from our pickleball community, and we love seeing our players getting out there, competing and taking the KT energy with them wherever they go!
