Our two MYC teams heading to the Newcastle She Sails Open Regatta on the end of August had a solid training session this afternoon - great teamwork all round!

August’s “Sail Our Way” MYC Skills Development Program –is on Saturday 22nd. This members-only event is a fantastic opportunity to refine your skills, gain valuable insights, and enjoy a great day on the water.
*This is not a Learn to Sail Program.

What to expect: This coaching session will cover both classroom learning and on-water training, where you’ll have the chance to sail the club’s Elliott 6s.
Location: Mooloolaba Yacht Club
Date and Time: Sat 22nd August 12.30pm - 4.00pm.
Cost: Nil- This session is funded by the Australian Sailing Women and Girl’s Sail Our Way initiative.
What to bring: Sailing gear, notebook, and enthusiasm!

There's just two weeks left to apply for the Women, Girls and Youth Officials' Mentor Program.

If you're looking to grow your confidence, develop your officiating skills and learn from experienced National and International officials, now is the time to apply.

Successful mentees will receive:
• One-on-one mentoring
• Access to a supportive network of officials
• A $250 travel credit to attend an event with their mentor

The program is open to:
✅ Women officials of any age
✅ Officials of any gender aged 35 and under

Elliott 6 / RIB hire fees ($50 per boat) will be split evenly among those attending.

Mooloolaba Yacht Club Women's Keelboat Regatta Hits the River, July 25 - 26 Now in its 8th year, the national award-winning Women's Keelboat Regatta has attracted female sailors from the Royal Queensland Yacht Squadron, Portland Yacht Club, Newcastle Cruising Yacht Club and Mooloolaba Yacht Club.

A relaxed MYC Women’s Meet Up today— learning about servicing PFDs and sailing a light wind windward‑leeward course on the Mooloolah River. A great way to spend the afternoon.

Our July Women’s Meet Up is on tommorrow Saturday 11th, 12.30pm start!

Suzanne will kick things off with a hands‑on session on self‑servicing inflatable lifejackets using the club’s PFDs — a super practical skill and always a bit of fun.

Then we’ll rig the Elliott 6's drop a few marks, and head out for a sail on the river.
