What a day of Preliminary Finals for our Reds!

Our Raiders came out firing in their Division 5 clash against a very classy Mountain Creek side, putting together a dominant performance and earning themselves a ticket to THE BIG DANCE!

GRAND FINAL BOUND! ❤️🖤

Then it was our little Rockets in Division 22, who unfortunately couldn't quite get there against NCC yesterday, but WOW, what a season these kids have had!

To make it all the way to a Preliminary Final in their first divisional season is something to be incredibly proud of. Congratulations Rockets on a fantastic season and for representing the Reds with such heart! 🚀❤️

And just like that… two becomes ONE.

Our Raiders are our last Reds standing, and next Saturday they're playing for the big one!

What a gorgeous way for our NetSetGO superstars to finish their season on Saturday!

Our youngest Reds enjoyed their final games before gathering together for pizza, cake and the very exciting presentation of their medals! 🏅🍕🎂

There were plenty of smiles, laughs and proud little faces, a beautiful way to celebrate a season filled with new skills, new friendships and a whole lot of netball fun!

A HUGE thank you must go to our wonderful coaches and managers. For many of you, this was your very first time stepping into these roles, and you have done an incredible job guiding, encouraging and creating such a positive first experience of netball for these young players. ❤️

These are the days, friendships and little moments they'll remember for years to come, and that's what junior sport is all about.

Congratulations on a fabulous season, little Reds!

Well Reds… finals certainly gave us ALL the emotions today!

Three teams took the court representing our club, and we could not be prouder:

❤️ RAIDERS - winners by 2!
❤️ ROCKETS - winners by 5!
❤️ RUBIES - bowing out after an incredibly tough, hard-fought match.

That means TWO of our THREE teams are heading into next week’s Preliminary Finals!

Raiders and Rockets, CONGRATULATIONS! You held your nerve, fought to the final whistle and earned yourselves another week of finals netball!

And to our beautiful Rubies - sometimes the scoreboard simply doesn't tell the story of a team or a season. You fought for one another right until the end and held your heads high through an incredibly tough contest. We are so incredibly proud of you.

But one of the best things about today happened off the court.

Our Reds SHOWED UP.

Players, coaches, families and supporters stood courtside cheering, encouraging and wrapping our teams in support right to the end.

When one team won, we celebrated together.
When one team hurt, we were there together.

And THAT is our club to a tee.

Supporting. Encouraging. Celebrating. Belonging. ❤️

Congratulations to all three teams on an incredible achievement in making finals.

PRELIM FINALS - HERE COME THE REDS!

❤️🖤 WHEN CLUBS COME TOGETHER 🖤❤️

Another pretty special part of our finals preparation this week was having the opportunity for our Rubies and Raiders squad to spend some time on court with a fellow Division 4 team from Buderim.

They generously gave up their time to join us for some competitive game play, giving our girls a fantastic opportunity to challenge themselves and prepare for finals, but what we loved most was everything that happened around the netball.

Different clubs. Different teams. Same love of the game.

The players had an absolute ball together, competing hard when it mattered, then laughing, connecting and enjoying some relaxed fun play together aswell.

The training was led by Michael, who somehow always manages to bring out the best in these kids, whether he’s asking them to lift their intensity on court or giving them permission to relax, be silly and simply enjoy playing together.

This is one of the beautiful things about community sport. We can be competitors without being rivals. We can challenge each other, learn from each other and build connections that extend beyond our own club colours.

A huge THANK YOU to the Buderim players and Cara their beautiful coach for sharing your time and your team with us this week. We genuinely appreciated it and absolutely loved having you there.

This is what community sport should look like.

This week has looked a little different across the Reds!

For some of our teams, it’s been about celebrating the end of their season. For others, it’s been about preparing for FINALS, but there’s been one very important ingredient in both...

FUN!

Our Rollers headed out for some team bonding at one of our wonderful sponsors, Laserzone Sunshine Coast celebrating their season together with plenty of laughs.

Our Rainbows finished their final training session with a very important fixture of their own, PARENTS vs KIDS! 😂 A fabulous way to wrap up their season, get the families involved and finish training with plenty of smiles and a little friendly competition!

Meanwhile, our finals-bound Raiders and Rubies swapped netballs for microphones and bowling balls at another of our wonderful sponsors, Strike Bowling Bar!

There was singing (LOTS of singing 😂), laughs, questionable bowling techniques and, of course, some healthy competition, while still cheering each other on every step of the way.

And congratulations must go to Michelle (Kayla’s mum), who took out Player of the Match on the bowling lanes... apparently while nursing a sore thumb. 👀

But nights, and training sessions, like these are about so much more than bowling, karaoke, laser tag or even netball.

Sport is about connection. Friendship. Belonging. Families. And FUN.

It’s about creating an environment where our players love being around their teammates, where families feel part of the club, and where some of their favourite memories from the season may have absolutely nothing to do with the final score.

Whether you're celebrating the season that was or preparing to take the court for finals...

Never underestimate the importance of simply having FUN together. ❤️🖤
