Next up — one of the most iconic races on the Australian paddling calendar, the Suzuki Whale Run on the Sunshine Coast.
This epic event challenges paddlers with a 49km downwind run from Bribie Island to Mooloolaba, testing endurance, teamwork, and ocean skill along Queensland’s stunning coastline. Long kilometres, changing conditions, and open-water energy make this race a true rite of passage for many crews.
The action doesn’t stop at the finish line. The day also features fast-paced short-course beach changeover races right in Mooloolaba Bay, bringing the community together and showcasing the heart of the sport.
Capturing the Whale Run is always special — big ocean, big effort, and an unreal atmosphere from start to finish. Thank you Mooloolaba OCC for having us at this years event!
