📣IMPORTANT UPDATE 📣

In 2023 we decided to combine Pulse Dance with our music school, Blackbird Performing Arts to create one holistic Performing Arts School. This page will no longer be used going forward and we ask that everyone please follow our new page Pulse Performing Arts to stay up to date with everything 2024!

We also have a new website www.pulseperformingarts.com.au end enrolments are now open!

Thank you for all of the hard work, passion and creativity you put into our school. You have made Pulse so much more than just a dance school. You inspire our students with your positivity and drive not just to be the best dancers they can be but the best humans too. You have created a community where students feel supported and uplifted by staff and fellow students alike. To some, our school has become a second home and we wouldn’t have it any other way.

I swear we are still reeling after the crazy, full on show week we just had but, oh wow our kids did us so so proud!
They put their heart and souls into the show and it payed off onstage and backstage. We really are so lucky to have such a wonderfully close knit community within our dance school and I wouldn’t have it any other way - I love how our dancers are all such great friends across grades and schools and through backstage stress and nerves still treat each other with kindness and positivity, cheering each other on and hyping each other up. You all make teaching you the best part of my week!!

Of course these kinds of shows cannot come together without help from our community and we’d like to thank the following people for their assistance with everything including, scanning tickets, cleaning, bump in/out, working the canteen and more:
Scott, Meg and Janelle, Chantal and Malcom, Ange and Dan, Erin, Bec Huggett and Bec Line, Gabby, Leisa, Tori, Laura, Robyn, Mum, Amanda and other kind parents and families that helped pack away chairs, sweep floors etc

An extra shout out to mum because where would we be without her, she is working behind the scenes with every event we do but this one by far had her working hours and hours and hours hand making sets and running canteen. Thanks for everything!

And to our amazing team:
Amanda, there really are no words to thank you for how you go above and beyond for our school. You always have and we have been so lucky to have you around and we are so glad you agreed to join our team permanently this year. We could not have done it without you!

Chelsea: your dancers just love you and it has been my pleasure to watch you become this beautiful, confident, teacher and dancer over the last 3 years. Your choreography and teaching ability is well beyond your years and you have become a very special part of our lives. Thank you for your hard work all year!

Gracie: what a great first year of teaching for us! I am so proud of how far you have come and can’t wait to see you learn and grow even further. You are such a role model to our whole school in and outside of your own classes.

I am sure I have forgotten a few people because the community of our school was really in fine form with so many people pitching in to get jobs done but please know that I am grateful for every person who jumped in to make our dancers feel like the superstars they are!

🎉🩰 Congratulations to these amazing dancers on reaching an incredible milestone in their dance journey! I am so proud to announce that Maiya, Zaria and Yeshe have officially started pointe work at Pulse!
This is such a significant step that showcases their dedication, hard work, and passion for dance. We couldn't be more proud of them!

Starting pointe work is a true testament to the dancers' strength, technique, and commitment. It's an achievement that opens up a whole new world of possibilities, grace, and artistry. We have no doubt that these dancers will excel in their pointe work and continue to inspire us all with their incredible talent.

Please join us in congratulating and encouraging the girls as they embark on this exciting and challenging journey!!

We would also like to say a huge huge thank you to Robyn and the team at Construct Health Physiotherapy Moranbah - they have been huge supporters of our dancers for years especially in providing our dancers affordable, functional pre-pointe physiotherapy assessments. Our dancers safety is paramount to us and we are grateful to the team at Construct for your partnership in ensuring this!

The kids kept up so well with their big weekend of rehearsals + photo day, and were wonderfully behaved. We appreciate everyone’s patience and flexibility with all the things that had to get done in those two days.
