YOUR 2027 COMMITTEE IS LOCKED IN!

A huge thank you to everyone who put their hand up and contributed to our club over the past year.
To our outgoing committee members, thank you for your time, effort and dedication to making Mordialloc Superules the great club it is today.

Congratulations to our 2027 committee, we're ready to get stuck in and make next season a big one!

New season, Big Goals!
We want to keep building on what makes our club special, family, footy, great mates, a welcoming club culture and plenty of fun along the way.

And remember, you don't have to be on committee to make a difference! Whether it's helping on game day, lending a hand at the bar, supporting our events or bringing a new player down, every little bit helps.

This is OUR club, and we're better when we all get involved.
🇵🇪 BRING ON 2027, GO BLOODS! 🇵🇪

Football clubs are full of good players.
They're full of volunteers.
They're full of committee members.
Every now and then though, someone comes along who changes the direction of a club forever.
Someone who leaves it better than they found it.
Someone whose impact is felt in the culture, in the people and in the future long after they've handed over the keys.

For Mordy Supers, that person is Heath McKenzie.

Since arriving at the club in 2017, Heater has become much more than a player, committee member or President.
He has become part of the fabric of this football club.
On the field, Heater has played 72 games and kicked just 5 goals. Which is probably 95 fewer goals than he will tell you he deserved.
He was Club Captain in 2019 and 2020.

But Life Membership isn't about goals kicked.
It's about impact.
And few people have had a bigger impact on Mordy Supers than Heater.
when the toughest challenge this club has faced arrived in the form of COVID, Heater stepped up.

Under Heater's leadership, the club didn't just survive.
It evolved.
He changed the logo.
He changed the jumper.
He changed the vibe.
He changed the way we welcomed people.
He changed the way we connected with each other.

And he helped drag this club into the modern age.
So much of what we enjoy today didn't happen by accident. It happened because Heater invested countless hours behind the scenes doing work that most people never saw.
The meetings.
The phone calls.
The planning.
The problem solving.
The endless thankless jobs that had to be done.
Not for recognition.
Not for praise.
But because he genuinely loves this club and the people in it.

On behalf of everyone here, thank you.
Thank you for your leadership, for your friendship.
Thank you for caring so deeply about this football club and the people in it.
We are incredibly proud to welcome you as a Life Member of Mordy Supers.
Congratulations Heater.

Hard at the footy.
Fierce in the contest.
A captain.
A leader.
Honest.
Loyal.
Selfless.

The sort of person who, when times get tough, you know exactly where he'll be. Standing beside his mates. Standing beside his club.

That person is Ben "Padge" Padgham.

Since arriving at Mordy Supers in 2016, Padge has become one of the people who defines what this football club stands for.

On the field, his record speaks for itself. Eighty-two games. Five finals campaigns. Captain of the club in 2017 and 2018. Captain of our senior side in the 2017 Grand Final.

A player who plays the game the right way. Tough, uncompromising and fiercely competitive. The sort of teammate you love having beside you and the sort of opponent you know you're in for a battle against.

But football is only part of the story.
Because Life Membership is not awarded for what someone does on a Sunday afternoon. It is awarded for what they give to a football club over years of commitment, sacrifice and service.
And few people have given more than Padge.

For seven years he served on the committee. For three years he took on the role of Treasurer. He worked behind the bar. Filled fridges during the week. Helped wherever help was needed. More often than not, he was one of the last people leaving the clubrooms, locking up alongside Heater and Ed long after everyone else had headed home.

They aren't the jobs that win awards.
They're not the jobs that make headlines.
But they're the jobs that keep football clubs alive.
Not because anyone asked him to.
Not because he wanted recognition.
Simply because that's who he is.
In football clubs like ours, loyalty and mateship mean everything.
Plenty of people talk about those values. Padge lives them.

If you were building a football club from scratch and could choose the kind of person you wanted at its heart, you'd choose someone like Ben Padgham.

Padge, thank you for everything you have given this club, everything you continue to give this club, and for the example you set for everyone around you.

We are incredibly proud to award you Life Membership, and incredibly lucky to call you a mate.
Congratulations, Padge.

❤️ THE TRUDI MILLER AWARD — INAUGURAL WINNER
Some awards recognise performance.
Some recognise leadership.
And then there are awards that recognise the people who make everyone around them better.

This year, we proudly introduced the Trudi Miller Award, an award celebrating the women’s team member whose care, support and selflessness inspire those around her, while strengthening the friendship, connection, unity and spirit of our team, club and community.

And we couldn't have asked for a more deserving inaugural recipient than Megan Foote.
CONGRATULATIONS, MEGS!

Megan's “others first” attitude shines through at Mordy Supers.
Whether it's helping attend to an injured player on the field, lending a hand at working bees, or simply standing tall and supporting those around her, Megan is someone her teammates know they can count on.

And then there's that smile.
Megan has a wonderful ability to make people feel welcome, particularly new players finding their feet at our club. Her warmth, friendship and genuine care help create the environment that makes our women's team such a special group.

At every team catch-up, Megan's team-first mentality and positive spirit shine through. She celebrates others, supports others and always looks for ways to bring the group together.
That's exactly what the Trudi Miller Award is about.

Congratulations Megs, a fantastic teammate, a wonderful person and a thoroughly deserving first recipient of an award that we hope will become a very special part of the Mordy Supers women's team.

Congratulations Megan Foote — our inaugural Trudi Miller Award winner.

THE CHRISTOPHER RAE BUXTON MENTONE
COMMUNITY SERVICE AWARD

Some awards celebrate what people achieve on the football field.
Others celebrate the person they are away from it.

The Christopher Rae Buxton Mentone Community Service Award recognises a player or supporter who goes above and beyond in their community, someone who gives their time, helps others and strives to make the world a better place.

This year, we were incredibly proud to present the award to Lynn Crasto, with the award presented by Chris Rae himself.

LYNN CRASTO
Lynn dedicates his time working with The Salvation Army, helping people experiencing homelessness and supporting those who are disadvantaged within our community.
It's work that often happens quietly and away from the spotlight, but it makes a genuine difference to people's lives.
Earlier this year, Lynn approached our playing group with a simple request, to help collect socks and jocks during the winter months for people doing it tough.

And, as is so often the case with our club, Mordy Supers stepped up.
Our players got behind Lynn's request, while our sponsors and the club itself also chipped in with donations. Together, we were able to collect a significant amount of essential clothing to help people who needed it most.

It was a wonderful example of what can happen when a football club looks beyond the boundary line and gets behind something that truly matters.
Lynn doesn't do this work for recognition, but we are incredibly proud to recognise him.

Congratulations Lynn on receiving the Christopher Rae Buxton Mentone Community Service Award.

Thank you for the compassion, generosity and selflessness you continue to show to others.

A very worthy recipient of a very special award.

The Michael Goold Shield

There are some awards that recognise what happens on the field.
And then there are awards that recognise the people who make Mordialloc Superules what it is off the field.

This year, the Mickey Goold Shield for Clubman of the Year was awarded to two very deserving recipients, Cam Neubacher & Gavin “Blocky” Block, who tied for the honour.

Both Cam and Blocky have displayed an incredible willingness to volunteer their time, share their individual talents and go above and beyond for our football club throughout the season.
CAM NEUBACHER
Cam’s Wednesday night dinners have become legendary, five-star quality every week!
His work and dedication to the menu and catering for Reverse Raffle Night was just a small glimpse of the extra effort Cam puts into our club.
Whether it's cooking, planning, preparing or simply putting his hand up when something needs to be done, Cam consistently gives his time and energy to make sure our players, members and supporters are looked after.

GAVIN “BLOCKY” BLOCK
For the past two seasons, Blocky has taken on the responsibility of Bar Manager, and he has done so with professionalism, pride and an enormous amount of dedication.
He has regularly spent his own personal time after hours at Ben Kav, stocking the bar fridges and making sure everything is ready to go.
But Blocky’s contribution doesn't stop there.
He has built strong relationships with our sponsors, regularly negotiating better deals for the club and securing vouchers, giveaways and prizes that can be handed out to our players and members.
That's the sort of work that often happens behind the scenes, but makes a huge difference to our football club.

Cam and Blocky represent exactly what the Mickey Goold Shield is all about, giving your time, helping others, using your own talents and doing whatever you can to make the club better.

Congratulations Cam & Blocky on being our 2026 Joint Clubmen of the Year.
A thoroughly deserved recognition of everything you both do for the Mordy Supers family.
