Mornington Ballet School

We want to extend our upmost gratitude for the love and support we received yesterday at our Finale Showcase.

For 57 years, Mornington Ballet School has proudly taught the Cecchetti method of classical ballet and other forms of dance including jazz, tap, contemporary and hip hop.

Beyond that, the school has always been proud of providing a safe space for every dancer from any background to develop a strong musical sense, along with a love of moment. Every dancer, parent and helper felt like they belonged in our extended ‘MBS family’ and have made life-long connections through our ballet school.

It is with immeasurable sadness that due to current financial pressures, the extremely difficult decision has had to be made that Mornington Ballet School must close our doors.

We look back with fond memories. We have enjoyed every class and every student who walked in through the door and danced out.

On a personal note, from all current and former dancers and staff we want to extend our heartfelt thank you and love to our beloved Miss Sue - you have touched so many lives through the school and we really hope you enjoy this next chapter of your retirement. Thank you for everything!

A reminder that classes will not run day, Thursday 25th April, as we pause in remembrance on ANZAC Day

They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them.
