Our first dual recipient of the POTW award, Pebble had another strong showing in the A2's victory over Cheltenham. As the starting pitcher, he allowed one earned run over 5 innings and went 2 for 3 at the plate himself!

🏴☠️SENIOR DBA CHAMPIONS🏴☠️
While a number of Pirates took the long weekend as a chance for a break, three of our A-Grade players represented the DBA at the Senior State Winter Championships, held at Cheltenham Baseball Club.

All three featured in the starting lineup for the final, which saw the DBA win 8-1 against Geelong, capping off what was a strong weekend of baseball as the team went undeafeated!

The Pirates go 3 and 3 over the weekend, with each senior team getting up in their respective matchups.
No Games this coming weekend, however, get on down to Cheltenham to see the Senior Winter Carnival in full swing. A few Pirates are playing in the DBA side, so let's show them some love!

⚾The D-Grade also play away, taking on the Frankston Tomatoes
The Cheltenham Baseball Club have their 'Rustler Roundup' reunion event this weekend, celebrating their Club's history. They were big supporters of our Penpraze Weekend in Round 2, so it's our turn to return the favour and show up on mass to support what is a huge Saturday of baseball, with 5 games featuring Pirates on for the day.

Out of the leadoff spot, the Veale Schnitz set the tone for the Pirates in their win against the previously undefeated Pakenham Pumas. Vealy went 3 for 5, including a double, and had 2 RBI's with a couple of runs scored himself.
