Our aim is to develop & showcase the Mornington Peninsula's football talent at some of Victoria's premier invite-only & other competitions for those wanting more than just club football.
What an incredible week our kids had at the Premier Invitational on the sunny Gold Coast in October!
Great football, great weather and unforgettable moments they will cherish forever.
One of the biggest highlights, beyond the football itself, was having the amazing opportunity of having motivational speaker John Coutis share his story with our kids and parents. His message of resilience, gratitude, and believing in yourself inspired every single one of us. 🙌
Huge thank you to all the families, our sponsors for their support and to the tournament organisers for hosting such a world-class event.

"having millions play the beautiful game for pure fun means that mums and dads are much more likely to play football in the backyard with their kids.
No coaching program in the world can replace the benefits of a football culture where kids play the game for hours at home and in the park."
Lifting the lid on why junior football is so expensive in Australia: We need to make the game more affordable to play We need a radical change in how we approach football in this country including a higher fraction of the governing bodies’ budget to be spent on grassroots infrastructure.

Over coaching (or "joystick" coaching) is an epidemic in junior Football development.
Arsène Wenger, now chief of global football development at FIFA, believes young players today are over-coached – leading to an erosion of creative freedom and the loss of off-the-cuff muscle memory.
Speaking to the Independent in September, Wenger said: “The game itself is a good coach. Why? Because, if I play in the park, I have to make decisions. If I’m shrewd enough to think why did that not come off and have a right assessment, the next time I am in the same situation I will do something different.
“We have lost that a little bit. We lose a bit of that individual self-taught training that happened before.”
Argentina’s World Cup winning manager Lionel Scaloni echoed these sentiments, referencing players being “remote controlled” by coaches and lamenting the effect this has on youth team players.
The moral of the story, lets the kids play, give them unconditional support, guide them in their skill acquisition journey and most importantly of all.....let them have fun.
We'll leave you with a final quote from Arsene Wenger “Between the ages of 5 and 12, its better to have no coach at all than a bad one". Have a think about that one......
