What a massive few weeks its been here in Freo! After finishing up 3rd Australian girls at the Nationals, we went into the worlds ready to see what we could do! It was fantastic to have a few days of the Fremantle Doctor, and enjoy some time at the front of the fleet in the 20-25knt breeze! Unfortunately Laura suffered an injury on day 1, but that didnt stop us until the last 2 races when a serious knee injury kept her off the water. However, Sophie sailing with Lily Richardson finished the regatta on a high, winning the last race.
So, after 10 months of sailing the 420 together, we were really happy to come away with 6th overall in the ladies fleet, particularly with the tough structure of the 12 race series only having 1 drop!
Our Freeway to Freo has now come to an end, and we would like to thank all those who have supported us on this journey. Special mentions to coach Adrian Finglas, our parents, Ropeable, Racer X Marine, The Sports Injury Clinic and Flexout Physiotherapy.
Weve learnt a lot and look foward to what the future holds!!

3rd Australian female team for the 2018 Australian 420 nationals!
In the high quality 95 boat fleet, consisting of many internationals, we were pleased to come away with much more knowledge and experience, and finish 21st overall.
We are very happy to have come away with this result and are super pumped to get into the World Champs starting after Christmas.
As always thank you to our amazing sponsors, this result would be impossible without your support.
Merry Christmas to everyone, hope Santa treats you well! 🎅🏻🤶🏻🎄

Sail Melbourne was a short regatta, only getting in 2 races due to the weather. However, we were happy to win one of the races, and finish 3rd overall in a strong 25 boat fleet, and 1st girls. The boat has now left for Freo in the container, and we will meet it over there next Monday!! Can't wait! Thanks as always to Ropeable and RacerXMarine.

Sail Melbourne starts tomorrow, and we're hoping to get in some good racing in final preparation before the boat leaves for Freo, and we follow it shortly after! In the meantime, here's video #4 showing our recent boat work and set up with the team at Ropeable.

See what we've been up to lately, including setting up the boat with the team at Ropeable, ready for Freo.

In the meantime our fitness and boat work has taken priority! Looking foward to setting up the boat in tip top shape with our new ropes and systems from Ropeable in preparation for Freo 👍

And that's a wrap for the 2017 NSW Youth Championships! We've hit the road after 3 great days of racing at Lake Macquarie. As our first interstate regatta as a team we finished up 2nd, 2 points behind 1st. We had some moments of glory (seeing 3 race wins in the 9 race series), some not so great moments (including a retirement from race 1 after a capsize with laura stuck under the boat), but most of all we're still learning lots and improving all the time. With nationals and worlds around the corner, we're glad to have been able to learn from our mistakes, as well as show some great racing at the front of the fleet. Thanks always to our support team Ropeable RacerXMarine and coach Adrian Finglas & team Vic!
