Our next batch of First Independent Class medals is currently being created by some of Rainbow Bay’s talented young artists! 🌈

Every medal is hand-coloured by children, making each one completely unique and extra special. We love the idea that swimmers reaching this exciting milestone are being celebrated by the creativity and kindness of other kids.

At Rainbow Bay, it’s not just about learning to swim — it’s about building confidence, encouraging each other and creating a community where kids support kids. 💙

A big thank you to our little artists for helping bring these medals to life. We can’t wait to see them proudly hanging around the necks of our newest independent swimmers! 🐠🏊‍♀️✨

💙 Farewell, Luca ✈️

At just 14 years old, Luca quietly mentioned that one day she wanted to be a Swim Teacher at Rainbow Bay alongside her big sister, Rilee. As soon as she was old enough, she joined the team and quickly became a valued part of the Rainbow Bay family.

Over the past three years, Luca has loved her role, working alongside her friends, sisters and cousins. Her friendly nature, reliability and genuine care for our swimmers have made her a much-loved team member.

Now, she’s off on an exciting new adventure with Qantas as a flight attendant.

We’re incredibly proud of everything she has achieved and can’t wait to see where this next chapter takes her.

Thank you for everything you’ve brought to Rainbow Bay, Luca. You will be greatly missed. 🌈💙✈️

🌈 Meet Peta! 💙

Peta’s Rainbow Bay journey started as a swim school parent before joining our team as a Swim Teacher.

With 18 years of experience as a dance teacher 🩰, she has a natural ability to connect with children, build confidence, and make learning fun.

You’ll often find Peta teaching in our morning programs and helping out on weekends. Her calm, friendly nature makes her especially popular with our younger beginners, helping little swimmers feel safe, confident, and excited to learn. 🐠💦

We’re lucky to have Peta as part of the Rainbow Bay family! 🌈

Believe it or not… they even come in Leigh’s size 😂

These awesome “Jellybean Shorts” are made by the Type 1 Foundation — a not-for-profit charity raising awareness and supporting families living with Type 1 Diabetes through education, community programs, and large-scale events.

Such a fun way to support a great cause 💙

We’d like to take a moment to recognise and thank Jorden as she finishes up at Rainbow Bay Swim School.

Jorden has been part of our team for a number of years, and many of our families will know just how special she is. She has had an incredible impact on her students — always highly requested, consistently recommended, and someone who brought care, energy, and connection to every lesson.

Jorden first interviewed with us while she was still in Year 12, and to see her grow into the teacher she has become has been something pretty special.

She is now moving on to join the Police Force full-time — an amazing achievement and a reflection of her discipline and character.

While we will certainly miss her, we are incredibly proud and excited for what’s ahead. 🌈
