We're incredibly grateful to the team at Onkaparinga Rugby Union Club for choosing MATES in Construction SA as the charity partner for their upcoming Charity Round.
For a club built on community, mateship and looking out for one another, this partnership means so much to us.
With many players, volunteers and supporters working across construction and other blue-collar industries, the club understands the importance of mental health, su***de prevention and making sure no one has to struggle alone.
Next Saturday 25 July, we'll be joining the Onkaparinga community for a day of rugby, connection and fundraising as they take on Southern Suburbs Rugby Club. Throughout the day there'll be charity jerseys, a Guard of Honour, fundraising activities, merchandise, and opportunities to learn more about the work MATES does to support workers and their families.
A huge thank you to everyone at Onkaparinga Rugby Union Club for getting behind MATES and helping spread the message that looking after your mates matters on and off the field.
We can't wait to see you there!

Onkaparinga supports Rugby SA in the need to stamp out match official abuse.
Abuse of match officials will not be tolerated and can result in expulsion from the game and bans.
Letβs play hard, support hard and be passionate, but respect our officials and the game.
MATCH OFFICIAL ABUSE DIRECTIVE
Respect the Whistle. Protect Our Game.
Rugby is more than a game, it's a community built on Discipline, Respect, Integrity, Passion and Teamwork. And at the heart of that community are our Match Officials.
They're coaches, parents, former players and volunteers who give their time so we can all enjoy the game we love. That's why the numbers matter: Match Official Abuse continues to account for over 50% of reported incidents. This is something we can fix, together.
Rugby Australia has released an updated Match Official Abuse Directive, reinforcing a simple truth: protecting our officials is everyone's responsibility. It brings zero tolerance for abuse, stronger sanctions and clear accountability. Respect is the foundation of our game.
Rules set the standard, but culture drives real change. When we treat Match Officials as part of our rugby family we make the game better for everyone. Every player, coach, supporter and volunteer has a role to play.
