💚🏐 GOOD LUCK TO OUR GREEN SHIRT UMPIRES! 🏐💚

The wait is over! Our Green Shirt umpires are about to take to the court for their first games in the SUNA competition, marking the beginning of their umpiring journey. 🌟

To all our Green Shirts good luck and enjoy the experience! 💚

Remember, every umpire starts somewhere. Take what you’ve learnt, back yourselves, keep learning and most importantly, enjoy being out on court. We can’t wait to see your confidence grow as you gain experience throughout the season. 🏐👏

A huge thank you to Indy and Tayla for sharing their knowledge, experience and encouragement throughout the SUNA Green Shirt Programme, and to Geoff for continuing to support our developing umpires with mentoring, guidance and feedback.

We also want to recognise the club umpiring coordinators who play such an important role in supporting these umpires, encouraging them to take the next step and helping them develop within their clubs. 💚

Your support both on and off the court is a huge part of building the next generation of SUNA umpires.

To our Green Shirts, be proud, back yourselves and enjoy the journey! 🌟

We’re excited to see you out there in your GREEN SHIRTS! 💚🏐

💙💚🤍

🚨🏐 RESPECT OUR UMPIRES 🏐🚨

As we start the first week of the season, we want to take this opportunity to remind everyone, players, coaches, spectators, parents and club officials that respect for the club umpires is non-negotiable.

Games can bring extra pressure and emotion, but that is never an excuse for disrespectful, abusive or intimidating behaviour towards an umpire.

Please remember:

🏐 Umpires are human.
🏐 They make decisions in real time.
🏐 You may not always agree with a decision, and that’s okay.
🏐 Many of our umpires are young and still developing their skills and confidence.
🏐 Every umpire has the right to feel safe and respected while doing their job.

If you see or hear inappropriate behaviour towards an umpire, please don’t simply stand by and ignore it. If it is safe to do so, challenge the behaviour appropriately, or speak with a club representative or SUNA official so it can be addressed.

We all have a responsibility to create an environment where our umpires feel supported, particularly during finals when emotions can run high.

💙 Respect the game.
💚 Respect each other.
🤍 RESPECT OUR UMPIRES.

Let’s make Summer 2026 2027 a positive experience for everyone involved. 💙💚🤍 🏐

🔎 LOST SOMETHING?

Our lost property collection at SUNA is very full! 👕🧢💧🧥

We currently have a large number of items that have been left behind at the courts, including drink bottles, clothing, hats and other belongings.

📍 Lost property will be available in the Clubrooms this week and next week to give everyone the opportunity to check through the collection and hopefully reunite lost items with their owners.

If you think you may have misplaced something at SUNA, please make sure you have a look while the items are available.

⚠️ Any items that remain unclaimed after next week will be donated.

Please share this with your teammates and SUNA families, you never know what might be waiting to be claimed! 💙💚🤍
