Registrations for the 2026/27 season are now due. With only 14 days until opening round, we need your registrations completed ASAP!!

Follow the junior or senior link and have your playHQ ID and password handy.

If you are new to the club ensure you get in early to request a transfer from your previous clubs. No one can be selected in a team unless they are registered.

As with past years if you are planning on being a sponsor of the club please make this know to Will Berryman and he will arrange for a discount voucher towards your playing fees. You will need to do this before you can register.

🏏 The Wareham Brothers Are Back! 🏏

We are thrilled to welcome Isaac and Sam Wareham back to Mortlake Cricket Club for the 2026 / 2027 season.

A former Victorian representative, Isaac returns to the club after several seasons away from our top flight side, having last featured at Division 1 level in the 2022 / 2023 summer. A four time premiership player across juniors, Sungold Cup and Division 1 cricket, as well as a former Division 1 Vice Captain, Isaac brings a wealth of experience, leadership and quality back to the club, and we are excited to see him back in navy blue.

Joining him is younger brother Sam, who continues to establish himself as one of the region's most promising young cricketers. A regular Western Waves and Country Week representative, Sam is also a four time premiership player, including our most recent Sungold Cup triumph. After making his Division 1 debut as a 14 year old during the 2023 / 2024 season, Sam has continued to develop into an exciting player with a bright future ahead.
The 2026 / 2027 season will mark the first time the Wareham brothers have had the opportunity to play Premier cricket together for Mortlake, and it is something we are all looking forward to seeing.

We are also delighted to have the entire Wareham family involved once again, including Paul and Jacinta, who have been valued supporters and long time sponsors of our club for many years.

We can't wait to see Isaac and Sam back in club colours this summer.

The Mahncke brothers are back! 🏏

We are delighted to welcome Oliver and Charlie Mahncke back to the club for the upcoming season. Ollie, a proud junior of the club, was an important member of our finals side last season and continues to impress after being part of the WMDCA Division 2 Country Week premiership winning team alongside Todd Lamont. A talented Western Waves junior representative, Ollie was also a member of our successful 2018 Sungold Cup winning side.

Joining him is younger brother Charlie Mahncke, whose cricketing credentials continue to grow. Charlie is an underage Victorian representative, a member of the Geelong Cricket Club Under 18 squad, a junior premiership winner with the Mortlake Cats, and was the leading run scorer at the Dowling Shield carnival. Charlie is an exciting young talent with a bright future ahead, and we are thrilled to see him continue his development at the club.

We look forward to having Ollie, Charlie, Ian & Andrea back involved for another season and can't wait to see what they achieve in club colours this summer!

A familiar face returns for another season, with junior product Oliver Mahncke signing on for the summer ahead. Ollie was an important member of our finals side last season and continues to go from strength to strength, highlighted by his selection in the WMDCA Division 2 Country Week premiership winning team alongside Todd Lamont. A talented Western Waves junior representative and member of our memorable 2018 Sungold Cup winning side, Ollie embodies the bright future of our club. We are thrilled to welcome Ollie and his family back for another season and look forward to seeing him in club colours again this summer.

Our newest little Cat has arrived!

Congratulations to Todd and Tui Robertson on the arrival of Ollie David last week. A beautiful little brother for Isla.

As excited as we are to see Britto take the lead as Captain and Coach this year… we’re also sad to say goodbye to Todd Lamont as our co-captain!

He’s still sticking around as a much loved player but we thought we better acknowledge all that Todd achieved whilst he was at the helm:

🏏 15 years of captaincy (majority of which he also coached)
🏏Represented Mortlake at Country Week every one of those years
🏏 Country Week captain for South West
🏏 6 Division One premierships
🏏 3 Sungold T20 wins, 2 as captain
🏏 Longstanding and current committee member
🏏 Awarded life membership

As Todd continues I’m sure he’ll continue to stack up the accolades for many years to come.

BIG NEWS!!

Congratulations to Craig Britten who will lead us both as captain and coach in the 2026/27 season.

And a big welcome back to Lachlan Wareham, who is taking on the vice-captain role and leadership position. Lachlan brings a wealth of experience having played Western Waves, represented Victoria in junior cricket, won Country Week premierships and Sungold T20's!
