St Mary's Primary School Moruya Welcome to St Mary's page. We enjoy celebrating learning and look forward to sharing this with each and everyone of you!

This is the official page for St Mary's Primary School Moruya. St Mary’s is a co-educational Kindergarten to Year 6 Catholic primary school with a current enrolment of 250 children. St Mary’s is situated in close proximity to the majestic Moruya River and is surrounded by beautiful grazing land. Moruya is the traditional home of the Brinja-Yuin people from the southern side of the Moruya River and the Walbanga-Yuin from the northern side of the Moruya River. St Mary’s was established approximately 160 years ago by the Good Samaritan Sisters. The Sisters brought Catholic Education to Moruya and educated children from outlying farming districts, some of whom boarded at the convent. The school still bears the motto of the Good Samaritan Sisters, “In all things my God be glorified”. This is at the heart of all that happens at St Mary’s. St Mary’s is one of three Catholic schools on the South Coast and we are very conscious of providing a K -12 pathway in Catholic education for our children. St Mary’s maintains close contact with Carroll College in Broulee in terms of in service training, resource sharing and mentoring for our students.

Last night, we welcomed Archbishop Christopher Prowse to our Sacred Heart Parish as a number of our Year 6 students received the Sacrament of Confirmation.

It was a beautiful celebration of faith, concelebrated by Archbishop Christopher, Fr Josh and Fr Emil, and a very special milestone in the faith journey of our students.

A heartfelt thank you to our families, staff and parish community for supporting these children as they continue to grow in their faith.

Our Year 5&6 students joined in with 300 other primary school students for the Todd Woodbridge Cup at Captain Oldrey Courts. This week. Thank you to Tennis NSW and Batemans Bay Tennis Academy - Rob Frawley, staff, and students for an excellent day of fun on the courts. It was wonderful to see the excellent sportsmanship of our students.

St Mary’s is pleased to welcome ySafe for cyber safety workshops tomorrow morning for our Years 4–6 students and parents.

Our parent session will provide practical advice on navigating AI, social media, gaming, screen time and online pressures, with strategies to build healthy digital habits, resilience and open communication at home.
