Victorian State Titles for 3DAAA was conducted at Twin City Archers Gippsland on the weekend with a great turn out of archers from Melbourne and Gippsland and also a couple from interstate. The weather, although not great during the setup of the shoot, turned out to be perfect. This contributed to some great shooting with 3 100’s and multiple State records achieved. Feedback from the archers was great to hear with comments about how challenging, but good the ranges were. As other clubs who host shoots would know, it’s rewarding to know that all your hard work is appreciated.
Once again Amy Russell did a fantastic job in the canteen with superb lunches both days.
Saturday evening the club hosted a dinner for the competitors and guests. This was well attended and everyone was well and truly filled on roast dinner and great desserts. Well done Amy and her helpers in the kitchen for yet another fantastic effort.
Prior to the dinner we had a few keen archers shoot the 3D Pro and Standard Indoor rounds with six seniors and four juniors having a go. Best score of 679 was shot by Paul Eagle in the senior section and 648 shot by Reid Barnes in the junior. Noteworthy is the one unaided Standard round shot with a score of 311, by Ross Gooding.
The Club would like to sincerely thank all archers for attending and supporting our club, as well as all of our members and friends who assisted in making it all possible.
We look forward to supporting our friends at Mornington Peninsula Bowmen next month when they celebrate the 50th Anniversary of their club and conduct the last State Series shoot of the year. Please come along and show your support for 3D archery in Victoria.

3DAAA Victorian State Titles are on this weekend coming.
Amy is cooking up a great roast dinner for Saturday night, so if you are intending to join us please let us know asap this week to help with catering.
The menu on offer consists of
Roast lamb, roast beef, roast chicken,
roast potatoes, roast pumpkin, carrots, broccoli, cauliflower and beans.
There will also be a garden salad and a pasta salad.
Desert consists of
Homemade lemon cheesecake and chocolate cake.
Please let me know if there are any dietary requirements.
Also don't forget to put your name down for dinner so I know how many to cater for. Thank you 😁
