🌟 TEAM SPOTLIGHT: CLUSTERS 🌟
At Western Knights, our future starts with our youngest players — and the youngest of all is our fantastic Under 6s and 7s Clusters Teams!⚽️❤️

The Football West Clusters Competition is a way for 5, 6 and 7 year olds to be introduced to our game, through fun training and Sunday morning games against other teams.

With boys and girls being involved, our supportive coaches teach them the fundamentals, helping them understand their roles, and most importantly, showing them how to enjoy football, work as a team and develop a love for the game and our club.

The Western Knights are proud to have been involved in Football West Clusters for over 10 years, and we are proud to have seen some of our early players even be involved in our senior teams!

👏 A huge congratulations to the entire Clusters team! The progress, enthusiasm and teamwork shown by our youngest players is fantastic to see, and they should all be incredibly proud of their efforts.

A special thank you to all the parents who generously give their time to assist during training sessions and on game days. Your support, encouragement and involvement make such a difference to our young players and help create the wonderful environment we have at Western Knights. ❤️

Every training session, every new skill and every game is another step in their development — and we’re excited to see these young Knights continue to grow.

Big game this Sunday!

Our Metro boys are at Nash Field for their final home game of the season in a massive 1st vs 3rd clash.
It’s shaping up to be a cracking game, so if you need your weekend football fix, come down and get behind them.

Kick-off is at 11am.

The bar will be open, and the canteen will be serving hot coffee and snacks.
Let’s get a good crowd down there to support the boys!

❤️⚽ Meet Anthony - our Coolbellup U9’s Blue team coach⚽❤️

Some football journeys come full circle, and Coach Anthony’s is a special one.

Anthony started his football journey at Western Knights before going on to sign a three year contract with Perth Glory. Now, in his first year coaching, he has returned to where it all began, leading our U9 Blue team.

And what a journey this group of boys has had! Playing in one of the toughest divisions, they have faced plenty of challenges, but have continued to work hard, support each other and improve week after week. The growth in their confidence, teamwork and understanding of the game has been fantastic to watch. ❤️

For Anthony, the Knights are more than just a club - they’re family. All three of his children are also playing at Western Knights across different age groups, making this a truly special connection to the club.

From wearing the Knights shirt as a young player, to playing for Perth Glory, and now coaching the next generation - Anthony is giving back to the club that helped shape his own journey.
We’re incredibly proud of Coach Anthony and our U9 Blue boys. The results are only part of the story - their growth, resilience, friendships and love for the game are what truly matter.

Keep going, boys! The best is yet to come. ⚽

We’re now calling for Expressions of Interest for JCL U13’s to U16’s for the 2027 season!

Our JCL program ms will focus on:
⚽️ Player development and technical growth
💪 Building confidence, fitness and game understanding
🤝 Teamwork, discipline and a strong team culture
🏆 Competing at JCL level while enjoying the game

This week, the spotlight is on Danny, our Western Knights U8’s Purple Head Coach! 🌟

Danny has been part of the Western Knights family for three years, and this season marked his first year as a Head Coach - and what a first season it has been!

The U8 boys have had an absolutely outstanding year, losing just two games all season. While the results speak for themselves, it’s the development, teamwork, confidence and love for the game that really deserves to be celebrated. ❤️

Behind every great team is a coach who gives their time, energy and passion to help young players grow, and Danny has done exactly that. From training sessions to game days, he’s been there encouraging the boys, teaching them, challenging them and, most importantly, making sure they enjoy their football.
To step into the role of Head Coach for the first time and guide the team through such an incredible season is something Danny can be extremely proud of. 👏

A huge thank you to Danny for everything you’ve put into the U8’s team this season. Your commitment and passion haven’t gone unnoticed. A big congratulations Danny and the team on stellar 2026 campaign! 🏆
