The tyranny of distance in Australia is magnified in tennis. Some of our country's best athletes play this global sport and struggle to make ends meet. This just does not happen to those who play other sports such as golf or football (any code). If you've never seen someone ranked in the Top 300, play up close, you'd be stunned at just how good they are.
