🏏 A Season to Be Proud Of for Our C3’s 🏏
Unfortunately it wasn’t to be for our C3’s today, going down in the Grand Final to Kissing Point and falling just short of the prize.
In their first season together at the club, this group has put together an outstanding campaign. After a strong and consistent regular season, the side finished on top of the ladder to claim the Minor Premiership and deservedly earned their place in the final.
While today’s result didn’t go our way, the season these players have produced is something they should be extremely proud of. To come into a new club and achieve what they have in their first season is a tremendous effort.
Congratulations to the entire C3 squad on a fantastic season. The club is proud of what you’ve achieved and we look forward to next season! 🏏🐎

C3’s are through to the Grand Final! 🏏
After a tense semi-final last weekend at Mount Kuring-Gai Oval, the team managed to grind out a hard-fought draw against WPHC to secure their place in the decider. On a day that heavily favoured the bowlers, C3’s showed tremendous grit and determination, holding on with just one wicket in hand to get the job done.
Now the focus turns to the Grand Final this weekend:

It’s been a fantastic season from the side and they now have the chance to finish it in the best possible way. We’d love to see plenty of support down at the ground both days as the boys take on Kissing Point for the premiership.

The 2025/26 season is coming to a close and it’s time to celebrate the achievements of our players, teams and volunteers at our Annual Presentation Evening.

🟡 Blasters & All Juniors – 6:00pm
🔵 Seniors – 7:30pm
Entry is FREE and there will be lucky door prizes on the night 🎉
All Juniors and Blasters players will receive a trophy, so make sure you come along and celebrate the season with your teammates, family and friends.

🏏 C3 SEMI FINAL BOUND – MINOR PREMIERS! 🏆
A huge congratulations to our C3’s who have officially finished 1st after the regular season, claiming the Minor Premiership in C3 Grade 👏
After 14 rounds they sit on top of the ladder with:
🔸 59 points
🔸 9 wins
🔸 Competition-leading quotient
Consistency, effort and depth right through the season has put the team in the best possible position heading into finals.
Now the focus shifts to the Semi Final as we take on WPHC at Mount Kuring-Gai Oval Saturday 28th February & Saturday 7th March (1pm start both days).
Let’s get down and support the boys as they push towards a Grand Final berth 🐎 💪
🏏 End of an Era at Mount Colah Cricket Club 🏏
On Saturday in our C1 Round 14 clash, Martyn “Budds” Budden played his final game as a senior player for Mount Colah, bringing to a close an incredible 28 year, one-club career.
Budds began his journey as a full-time player back in the 1997/98 season, and over nearly three decades has been a constant, loyal presence at the club.
📊 Career Statistics (on record):
• 260 matches
• 4,645 runs at an average of 20.46
• 326 wickets at an average of 19.25
(And likely more, with some records lost to time!)
In a fitting final performance during a do or die match against St Ives, Budds contributed 22 runs and took 2/20 in a second-innings fightback that nearly snatched us a semi-finals berth - a true reflection of the competitor he’s always been.
As Martyn heads interstate for his next chapter, the entire club thanks him for his dedication, loyalty, and countless contributions over the years. He’ll be greatly missed week in, week out, both on and off the field.

🔥 C3s on Top! 🔥
After the first 9 rounds of the season, Mount Colah C3s are sitting top of the table with an outstanding 7 wins and 48 points to their name 💪🏏
A massive effort from the whole squad so far - consistency, teamwork and belief have put the boys in a great position heading into the back half of the season.
Plenty of cricket still to play, but the standard has been set. Let’s keep the momentum rolling! 🐎

🏏 BIG PERFORMANCES ACROSS THE CLUB! 🏏
Some massive milestones for Mount Colah in recent rounds:
💯 Aiden McSweeney smashed a brilliant 102 against St Ives in the Round 7 C1 clash. Mount Colah posted 7/206, then bowled out top of the table St Ives for 8/110 to claim a 48-run (DLS) victory. Quality knock and a huge team win! 🙌
💯 Brendan Chander struck an unbeaten 100* in C3’s Round 4 win over WPHC. The C3s remain in red hot form and are currently sitting top of the table. 👊
🔥 Corey Fehlberg delivered a match winning spell in Round 5 for C3’s, taking 5/17 against Glenorie. Dominant bowling!
🔥 Divy Sharma ripped through Beecroft in Round 6 of C1’s, finishing with an exceptional 5/15. Incredible effort!
Huge congrats to all the boys on these standout performances — batting, bowling, and plenty of momentum across the club.
