A NEW CHAPTER BEGINS AT WESTERN CITY RANGERS 💚💛

Western City Rangers FC is delighted to announce the appointment of Nahuel Arrarte as our 1st Grade Men's Head Coach for the 2027 season.

Nahuel joins us from the Isuzu UTE A-League, where he was most recently assistant coach at Western Sydney Wanderers, and before that at Perth Glory from 2023 to 2024.

An AFC Pro Diploma coach, he previously served as assistant coach to the Matildas from 2017 to 2019 and at Central Coast Mariners in the A-League, and was part of the staff that took the Philippines to their first ever FIFA Women's World Cup.

He has also led the Philippines Women's U20 and U17 national teams at AFC level. Before all that he was a professional midfielder in the NSL and across Asia.

As we rebuild, having a coach of Nahuel's experience and character leading our men's program is something to celebrate. What stood out to us most, was his genuine belief in what football can do for players, for staff and for a community.

This is an exciting time at Rangers. We are building for the future, investing in our coaches, our players, our pathways and our people, and Nahuel's appointment is a big step on that journey.

Our Director of Football Tim Aitken and the board are thrilled to have him guide this next chapter, and we can't wait for our players, members and supporters to get to know him.

A message from our new Head Coach:

“I would like to thank the club for the trust they have placed in me and for giving me the opportunity to lead this next chapter. From my conversations with the club's board, it was clear that there is a genuine ambition to build something strong, sustainable and meaningful.

Results are important but football is about much more than that. It is about creating an environment where players and staff can grow, where there is a clear identity, strong values and a shared understanding of what we want to achieve together.

My commitment is to bring energy, leadership and a clear football vision to Western City Rangers. I want us to build a team that is fearless, adaptable, competitive and connected, one that represents the club and its community with pride and conviction every time we step onto the pitch.

I am looking forward to working closely with the players, staff, club officials, supporters and the wider Western City Rangers community.
Thank you to everyone at Western City Rangers for the opportunity and the belief.”

Nahuel Arrarte
Head Coach | Western City Rangers FC

Welcome to the Rangers family, Nahuel.
