This Saturday marks our last big day of footy for 2026, and Minchinbury Jets are ready to take on the Battle of the West at Federation Forest! We’ve got Jets teams hitting the field across the day, and we’d love to see our families out in force supporting our players, coaches and volunteers. A HUGE congratulations also goes to our Minchinbury Jets players selected to take part in the 2026 TryTime Representative Cup. What a fantastic achievement and a very special opportunity to represent on the big stage. We’re incredibly proud to see you out there!

It all comes down to this

After a season of hard work, big wins and plenty of challenges, our Under 14 Division 1 are ready to step out onto St Marys Stadium for the Grand Final.

Standing in their way are familiar rivals St Marys, with the two sides locked at 2–2 across their four meetings this season. With nothing separating them on the head-to-head record, there is no doubt this Grand Final is set to be another cracking contest.

They are the defending champions. 🏆 🏆

Having lifted the trophy last season, the Coach Haumono’s boys know exactly what it takes to perform when the pressure is at its highest. Now, they have the opportunity to go back-to-back adding to their back-to-back Luke Lewis Cup titles and cement themselves among the club’s best junior sides.

For the Jets, it’s about trusting the work they’ve put in all season, sticking together and playing their football when it matters most.

Hunter Tietie

Hunter has been a strong presence for the Jets throughout the season, bringing plenty of energy and determination every time he takes the field. His ability to compete hard, stay involved and make his presence felt makes him a player St Marys will need to account for.
Having played hand in setting up the grand final winner in 2025, Hunter knows what is needed to bring back the title in 26

Ziggy Marsters
Ziggy has been an important part of the Jets’ campaign this season, bringing plenty of determination and competitive spirit every time he takes the field. When the intensity lifts, Ziggy is the type of player who can rise with it and give his teammates the spark they need.

Ziggy’s last minute determination and push to steal the ball from Windsor to secure the game winner to send this group into a 3rd straight gf is the kind of plays this team will need.

After a season filled with challenges, setbacks and plenty of resilience, the 13/1 boys have earned their place on the biggest stage of the year.

Scoring a staggering 684pts during the season Coach Tiatia’s squad went above and beyond and finished the regular season at the top of the table, a fantastic achievement and a reflection of the consistency, effort and determination shown by the entire team throughout the year.

They come up against the fierce St Marys who both and scored a victory over each other through out the season and nothing splits the two of them coming into this Saturday.

Players to Watch

Julius Ridge-Tiatia

Juju has been a standout for the U13 Division 1 side throughout a season that has demanded plenty from the squad.

Playing at various positions, Juju has embraced the tough jobs — working hard through the middle, cleaning up the loose ends and putting in the effort that often goes unnoticed on the scoresheet.

Juju produced a hat-trick in the preliminary final, taking his season tally to an incredible 29 tries.

Playing in game number 100 for his beloved club, this sets the scene for a game to remember from our #11

Sonny Tauposi
One player who could play a big part in the biggest game of the season is Sonny Tapuosi.

The crafty number 7 from the Jets has played a huge role in the teams 684 points scored in 2026, seeing countless tries set up from the skills of Tapousi.

While the attacking flare is a big point from Tapousi, it is his strong defence that stands out the most in this side, one of the competitions best defending halves never letting his man get away.
