THE FINAL WORD 🏴☠️
And that brings us to the final match report of the 2026 season.
Once again, a huge thank you to our resident wordsmith, Frank, for putting pen to paper each week and giving the Pirate faithful a front-row seat to the action.
For those who couldn't make it to the game, Frank's recaps have been the next best thing, capturing the moments, the battles, the wins, the losses and everything in between. They've been a bloody good read all season.

And just like that… one week since we wrapped up the 2026 season. No team sheets. No game day. No yelling from the boundary. No footy. Sad times, Pirates.
But at least we’ve got the AFL Finals to keep us going. Time to kick back, crack a beer (or two), put the feet up and enjoy some September footy.
We’ll be counting down the days until we’re back at it. ☠️

The season might be done, but there’s still plenty happening at the Pirates. 🏴☠️ With the footy wrapped up for another year, it’s time to celebrate the season, recognise the people who made it happen and enjoy a few final nights together as a club.
Keep an eye out for our end-of-season events, including the Club Vote Count, as we come together to celebrate the players, coaches, volunteers and everyone who helped make 2026 one to remember.
The footy may be finished, but we’re not done yet.

That’s a wrap on the 2026 season.
The Seniors fell just short against PEGS in a hard-fought finish. Unfortunately, the result looks set to see us setting sail back to Division 1 footy next season.
On a brighter note, the Reserves finished the season in style with a great win! Well done, lads. A fantastic way to finish off the year.

And just like that, another season is done and dusted.
It’s not the finish we wanted, but this season has given us a real eye opener into the level of footy we all want to strive for. There’s plenty to take away, plenty to build on, and plenty of work to do.
We’ll dust ourselves off, get back to work and come back next year hungry for more.
Thanks to everyone who got around the Pirates this season.

The final games of the 2026 season are here!
Our Seniors & Reserves head away to take on PEGS as we close out the season with everything on the line. Meanwhile, our Unders have already wrapped up their season and are now looking forward to the end-of-season celebrations.
One last hit-out. One last push. One last time pulling on the Pirates jumper in 2026.
LET’S FINISH THE JOB. ☠️🏴☠️

It all comes down to this. Our Seniors head to PEGS for the final game of the season, with Premier C status on the line. A win gives us the best chance to retain our position and finish the season where we belong.
No tomorrow. No second chances. Just four quarters to leave everything out on the field. 🏴☠️
This is what we’ve worked for all year.

THE FINAL TEAMS ARE IN! ☠️🏴☠️
Here are your Old Peninsula Seniors and Reserves sides for the final round of the 2026 season. There’s plenty to play for as the Seniors head into a huge game, with Premier C status on the line.
The Reserves will also be looking to finish their season on a high, making it one massive final day of footy for the Pirates.
