What a great day out for the club Savage Grappling on Sunday. We had 6 kids competing all coming home with medals. From gold to bronze, it was an awesome effort and quite the haul 😏
I am very proud of what they have achieved and am very much looking forward to the next one.

Congratulations to Harry on earning his yellow belt!!
Harry is only our clubs second yellow belt, which puts him in rare company. He is a respectful young man who I have had the pleasure of watching and growing from the start of his journey. He is fantastic with new students and helps out with our little kids' classes regularly. I can always rely on him to help coach. His skills have improved so much over the years, and he is really starting to develop a dangerous game.
Congratulations again Harry. Keep up the awesome work!!

Congratulations to Luke Davies Uniacke Lukey Davies on earning his blue belt!!!
LDU has been training casually with us when he can around his AFL schedule for the last 3 years. His athleticism and skill have propelled him through the white belt rank. His strength and endurance are always on display when he trains. He is an absolute gentleman on the mats and is well liked by all his peers.
More than that, Luke shows a level of humility that is honestly quite inspiring. When in the spotlight, it can be hard to stay grounded, and success can blur a person's sense of scale. Not Luke. He is one of the most humble people I have ever ever met, and it is so nice to see. A true attribute of a martial artist.
Congratulations again, keep up the awesome work!

Congratulations to Will on earning his blue belt!!
Will is a fantastic student. He is friendly, kind and always willing to help out those around him. He is always asking lots of questions about techniques and always tries to put his own little spin on them, which I think is great. He has been one of the most technical white belts I have ever seen. Now, moving into blue, I can't wait to see just how technical he can get 🙌
Keep up the awesome work Will!

Congratulations to Edie on earning her yellow belt!!
Edie is the clubs first yellow belt promotion!
She is a fantastic student. Always listens and is very respectful. She is great with new students who walk in the door, always making them feel reassured and helping them with technique. She had put in a lot of training and hard work over the last 4 years and this is so deserved. I am very proud of her 🙌
Edie keep up the awesome work!

Congratulations to Shaun Shaun on earning his brown belt last night!!
Shaun has been working hard this year to achieve this milestone. He won a gold at the vics and silver at the nationals with great performances. He is one of the leaders at our club and is very respected by all. I constantly get compliments from students about how great his classes are and how much they are learning from him. Shaun, you truly do leed by example, and I couldn't think of a better role model at our club. Congratulations again on an outstanding achievement!

Congratulations to Charlie on earning his blue belt last night!!
Charlie is one tough young man. Since starting JJ a year and a half ago, be has competed about 7 times, having many matches over those competitions and coming home with a few medals, some of them being gold. He isn't afraid of adversity and shows true martial spirit when training and competing. He is a valued member of our club, and this promotion is very well deserved.
Keep the awesome work Charlie!
