2026| A YEAR TO BE PROUD OF ❤️‍🔥
What a year it has been at Mount Eliza Soccer Club.

As we navigate the construction of our new clubrooms and manage a record number of teams and players, this season has brought its challenges. But through it all, we kept sight of our core purpose: ensuring our players had the opportunity to play.

There have been plenty of highlights, including the launch of the Mount Eliza Soccer School, the appointment of our first Female Football Lead, the introduction of our Women’s Social Soccer program, and the expansion of our senior program with our first Women’s and Men’s Metro teams.

We also recorded a record number of league champions across our junior teams, saw junior players make their senior debuts, and watched our Women’s Metro team win their division.

None of this happens without our people. To our players, families, coaches, team managers, volunteers, Committee members and sponsors — thank you for the time, commitment and support you bring to our club.

Looking ahead to 2027, we’re excited to open our new clubrooms, continue developing the Soccer School and strengthen our pathways for both Senior Men and Women.

Reflecting on 2026, the overwhelming feeling is pride — pride in our teams, our community, our people and programs, and the direction of this club.

Thank you for being part of Mount Eliza Soccer Club.

MOUNT ELIZA CUP 🏆
And that’s a wrap!
Thank you to all of the players, coaches, officials, families, vendors and staff what participated in the 2026 Mount Eliza Cup. Thank you to our neighbouring clubs that shared facilities and venues to enable us to open the event to more teams, and play more football.
These events are the result of many months of organisation and planning to ensure that things run smoothly across 4 days, and for that we would like to thank our Cup Team, and all of our Committee and broader community who volunteer their time to help with setting up, emptying bins and packing down.
Without you these days would not be possible.

We hope everyone enjoyed themselves over the past 2 weeks, and we’ll see you back for MEC 2027!

Can you believe it’s already time for our Annual General Meeting?

A great football club isn't built by a committee alone, it is shaped by the passion, ideas, and energy of its entire community.

As a valued member of our club your perspective matters. Whether you have been with us for years, just joined as a junior parent, or play in our senior squads, your insights can help make our club the best it can possibly be so we would love for you to join us.

We invite you to our Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Thursday 12 November at our new Clubrooms (Emil Madsen Reserve) starting at 8:00pm.

• YOUR Vote - Have your say in electing the incoming committee leaders
• OUR Shared Future - See exactly how our finances are invested back into our pitches, equipment, apparel, and player development
• OUR Vision - Join the conversation about the future of MESC, including our priorities, opportunities, and plans for the years ahead
• Our New Club Rooms – See inside our new facility. We’ll have drinks and snacks on the night for us to celebrate!

If you’ve ever wanted to get more involved behind the scenes, we need you! No prior experience is needed, just some time & enthusiasm.

Let's work together off the pitch to ensure our players thrive on it.

COACHES WANTED ⚽️🎓
Mount Eliza Soccer School is looking for experienced coaches!
To allow us to cater to demand at Soccer School and keep groups small, we are seeking experienced coaches to who can manage a group, teach through the enjoyment and lead a session, rather than simply supervise it.

The Soccer School is open to all skill levels. We follow a structured format, with different learning objectives each week. Coaches must be able to read session plans and diagrams, understand the coaching points, and teach those lessons through engaging activities.

Age isn’t the deciding factor — what we value is experience, group management and the ability to clearly communicate and deliver a session to children.

• Mondays: 3 hours / Wednesdays: 2 hours
• Location: Toorak College, Mount Eliza
• Pay: $40 per hour
• Required: a valid Working with Children Check and a National Police Check.

If you are interested in applying, please email Kerry Recchia directly, including your availability, coaching experience, and details of any coaching licences, qualifications or relevant studies.

Now that the dust has settled, and we’ve had a chance to regroup, we’d like to say a big thank you to all of the clubs that participated in Weekend 1 of the Cup.
Hosting and coordinating an event with 2500+ players, coaches and families is no easy feat, but the smiles on faces and spirit in which you showed up makes it worthwhile. Looking forward to round 2 this weekend!
