Wanderers Softball Club

Last Saturday night the wanderers girls headed to Horsham to celebrate the end of season.
On this trip we had lots of laughs and created life time memories. Rej and fam created a car rally that was so much fun! Then the night came and the presentations started.

There was also a very special moment on the night where Fiona Finch was awarded life membership to wanderers. We would like to congratulate Fi on her amazing efforts all these years, this is highly deserved award💚💛

Our girls are on the road to Horsham, home of long time player Rej Smith, did you know that Rej has been travelling to Mount Gambier from Horsham to play for us for 19 years!!
We can’t wait to celebrate our season in her home town 💛💚💛

Well that’s a wrap on our season 2025/2026 in a great preliminary final against Bandits.
Our girls played well, kept the pressure on, had some beautiful hits and some great fielding.
Bandits had a great day on the bat, picking the gaps nicely. So proud of our team and how far they have come 💚💛💚

Come and show your support tomorrow when our girls take on Bandits in what is sure to be a great game of softball.
These girls have worked so hard this season, we’ve created depth and versatility, challenged people by having them in unfamiliar positions, and finished the season strong and in good form.
These girls show up week in week out, train hard, train extra, looking for advice, wanting to be better, they give 100% on game day injured sick or otherwise and they are right behind each other on and off the field. 🫶
It’s an exciting time to be part of the green and gold family 💚💛💚

A great result by our girls today! They fought hard to come back from behind, Warriors had a fantastic day on the bat and should be very proud of how their team played 🫶
Onto the next game for us where we take on Bandits! 💚💛💚

Tomorrow will be bitter sweet as we take on our good friends Warriors White to progress through finals 🫶

Our girls are pumped after a brief hiatus from the finals series. We’ve had a great season finishing in good form 💪
