5,000 years of wisdom β and it's still changing lives today. π
Yoga wasn't born in a gym or a studio. It was born in stillness, in sacred texts, in the quiet search for meaning that every human being shares.
And here you are β part of that 5,000-year-old story. π€

Three things I want every woman over sixty to hear today.
Move your body every single day. Not hard. Not perfectly. Just walk. Thirty minutes outside does more for your body and your mind than most people realize. The day you stop moving is the day your body begins to age faster than it needs to.
Sleep like it is your most important appointment. No screens before bed. A dark quiet room. The same time every night. Your body heals while you sleep. Everything else - your mood, your memory, your energy - depends on it more than you know.
Stay connected. Loneliness is as damaging to your health as smoking. A real conversation. A lunch with a friend. A reason to leave the house. Human connection at this stage of life is not a luxury. It is medicine.
None of these cost money. None of them require perfect conditions.
They only require a decision - made again and again, every day.
You have one body. It has carried you through everything. Give it what it needs to carry you a little further.

I am excited to be offering Chair Yoga Classes! Starting next Monday the 18th of May. I have found this is perfect for those wanting to do yoga (but not able to get up and down easily). It has the benefit of adapting a traditional yoga class into a seated position on a chair and not on a mat on the floor. This can be great for people with who are not sure about managing a full Yoga Class at this point but want to be able to move more freely. Chair yoga improves your flexibility, muscle strength, balance and movement capability as well as generally making you feel more confident. The first class is on at 11.30am on Monday 18th May (bookings essential ASAP to not miss out), with an introductory price of $14! Classes are limited in space and restricted to 2 people at this stage for a more personal touch! We would love to hear your thoughts and have a couple of classes TBA. Make this the time when you begin to work with your body, embracing what you can do and donβt worry about what you canβt. I also have some spaces in a couple of my more relaxed yoga classes. Chair Pose (Utkatasana) is a strong standing yoga pose where you bend the knees as if sitting back into an invisible chair, while keeping the chest lifted and arms raised.
Benefits:
Strengthens the thighs, calves, and ankles
Activates the core muscles
Improves balance and stability
Builds endurance and body control
Helps improve posture
Opens the chest and shoulders
Warms up the whole body
Encourages focus and steady breathing
Chair Pose may look simple, but it is a powerful pose that builds strength, stability, and mental focus.
