❤️💙 VOLUNTEER EVENT💙❤️

Yesterday, Gary and Bev Jolley made the trip over to Adelaide to attend the Heart of the Community Volunteer Celebration event hosted by the Office for Recreation, Sport and Racing.

Throughout the evening, Gary’s incredible journey and contribution to the West Gambier Tennis Club was showcased on the big screens and acknowledged during the formalities. Gary was also presented with a certificate of recognition for his many years of dedicated service to our club and community.

Gary and Bev also had the opportunity to hear from guest speakers Liz Ellis and Rory Sloane, who shared their own volunteering stories and experiences in sport over the years.

Our club is incredibly grateful for everything Gary has done over such a long period of time. His passion, dedication, and tireless efforts have helped shape our club into the wonderful community it is today. Quite simply, the club would not be where it is without him.

National Volunteer Week | May 18th–24th 💙❤️

This week, the West Gambier Tennis Club would like to proudly thank all of our incredible volunteers who help make our club the great place it is today.

From committee members, coaches, team managers and those who lend a hand behind the scenes — your hard work, dedication and generosity never go unnoticed. Every hour volunteered helps create a welcoming, supportive and thriving environment for our players, families and community.

It’s not every summer season that you see a club take home both the Division 1 and Division 2 Grand Final shields, but that’s exactly what the West Gambier Tennis Club achieved this year! A massive accomplishment that reflects the dedication, teamwork and club spirit right across all grades. We couldn’t be prouder of every player, supporter and volunteer who helped make this incredible season one to remember. A special mention goes out to Glencoe Tennis club for combining in the Division 2 grade with us for the past 2 seasons, we have loved having you as part of our club!❤️💙

❤️💙WHAT AN AMAZING SEASON💙❤️

What a fantastic Presentation Night we had last night! It was certainly the biggest one we’ve had in a number of years, and it was great to see so many people come out to celebrate the season together.

Thank you to everyone for bearing with us while we added more seating to fit everyone in. As usual, our buffet-style dinner was an absolute hit, and a big thank you goes to all of our families for bringing a dish along — as the saying goes, many hands make light work!

A huge thank you to everyone who helped out on the night, from set up to pack up. We really appreciate your time and effort — our club wouldn’t run without volunteers like you.

Congratulations to all of our Premiership teams and trophy winners. It has been an amazing season, and we can’t wait to see what next season brings!

Good luck to everyone with your winter sports, and we look forward to welcoming you all back next summer.

Lastly, a big shoutout and thank you to West Gambier Football & Netball Club for allowing us to use the clubroom facilities on many occasions throughout the season — we really appreciate your support.❤️💙
