HE'S BACK!

The North Gambier Football & Netball Club is delighted to announce the return of Austin Kitschke as our Senior Playing Coach for season 2027!

After some time away playing football and developing his skills, Austin is coming home, signing with North Gambier through to 2028.

Austin returns after a successful SANFL career with Central Districts and Glenelg, where he amassed more than 50 senior league games and was part of a 2023 Reserves Premiership team. He brings a wealth of high-quality football knowledge and experience back to our club.

We’re incredibly excited about what Austin’s return means for our playing group and the wider club. He will build on the strong foundation established by outgoing co-coaches Jordan Hollitt and Nick McInerney, while bringing fresh energy and experience to our senior program.

Importantly, Austin’s leadership will also play a huge role in the development of our younger players, helping to create a pathway for our emerging talent, sharing his experience and supporting the next generation of North Gambier footballers.

We’re excited to have one of our own back home and can’t wait to see what the next few seasons bring.

A little Friday Flashback as we look to celebrate our 2016 seniors and reserves football premierships

Under first year coach Winis Imbi, and with several new and younger faces, the A grade pulled off an upset win against South Gambier in a tight tussle at Blue Lake Sports Park to make it 4 premierships in 5 years while the reserves made it an incredible 5 premierships on the trot under coach Kevin Bryan. Nick McInerney and Will Nankivell were awarded the best on-ground medals on the day.
