Mt Martha Petanque and Social Club

Yesterday some of us competed in the Camberwell Mixed Triples – congratulations to Roz and Freddy who placed second in a closely fought game against Jessen’s team.

Well done to Kerrie for entering her family team which included her nephew and great-niece Lorelei – they won 2 games! So good to see a junior player!

The club had excellent results in the Weird PC “Out of the Hat” Winter competition held over five weeks. Our big congratulations to Rohan who was the overall winner; Freddy who placed second and Lyn, Kerrie and Freddy who were weekly winners. Very well done to everyone who competed – the results were great considering the very challenging pistes at Weird.

Christmas in July at the club house. A wonderful night with a packed house. Everyone had a wonderful time.

Bastille Day at Mount Martha was despite the weather was a wonderful success despite the weather the new bar and function room just added to the day

Our annual Bastille Day Luncheon +Petanque will be held on Sunday 12th July - see flyer for more details. It is always a great day so bring along your friends/family to make up a table and enjoy a fun day.

Another great day at the club with our annual Jennifer Shaw Memorial 60+ Mixed Triples Tournament being held last Sunday. Congratulations to Kerrie, Geoff and Roger on their win. Thanks to all the players for their support - we hoped you enjoyed our facilities. A big thanks go to our members who volunteered for a multitude of roles - setting up, pack down, scoring, Tournament Director, catering, running the raffle, flowers etc. - the tournament wouldn't happen without your assistance. - Geoff Shaw & Kerrie Maddern won gold and Cliff & Catherine Ferris won bronze in the 60+ mixed doubles.
- Catherine Ferris & Penny Biggs won gold in the 60+ women's doubles complementaire.
