🏆⛵ European Champion! ⛵🏆
A huge congratulations to Mount Martha Yacht Club's Rhett Gowans, who has been crowned 2026 RS Aero 6 European Champion at the RS Games in Travemünde, Germany. Rhett claimed the title after a superb week of racing against an international fleet of 55 competitors.
Congratulations also to fellow MMYC sailor Glenn Collins, who finished an outstanding 7th overall in the same highly competitive fleet of 55 sailors—a fantastic achievement on the international stage.
To have two MMYC members finish in the top seven at a major European championship is something our club can be incredibly proud of. Their performances reflect the depth of talent within our sailing community and the commitment they both bring to the sport.
Well done, Rhett and Glenn! We look forward to welcoming you both home and hearing all about your championship campaign.

⛵ Congratulations to MMYC members Paul and Bronwyn Ridgway on another outstanding international result!
Competing at the UK Tasar National Championships in Paignton, England, Paul and Bronwyn were once again among the front runners in a highly competitive fleet. Across eight races sailed in a mix of strong and light conditions, the battle for the podium went right down to the final race.
With an incredible sailing résumé that includes World, National and Victorian Tasar Championship titles, as well as previous UK National Championship victories, it's fantastic to see them continuing to represent Australian sailing—and Mount Martha Yacht Club—with distinction on the international stage.
Congratulations Paul and Bronwyn! We look forward to hearing all about the regatta when you're back at the club. 👏🇦🇺⛵
