It’s going to be a huge day of football at Civic Reserve this Saturday as we celebrate the Community Bank Mount Martha Round!

Community Bank Mount Martha’s generous support extends well beyond our shirt sponsorship. They have also provided MMSC with a $5,000 Community Grant for new equipment and donating Player of the Day bags for this weekend’s matches.

Members of the Community Bank Mount Martha team will be joining us at Civic Reserve, so please take a moment to say hello and thank them for their wonderful support of our club and the wider local community.

There will be plenty of action throughout the day, and we would love to see our MMSC families, members and supporters at Civic Reserve cheering on the teams.

Through the Community Bank model, up to 80% of profits are returned to local communities, supporting sporting clubs, hospitals and other important community initiatives.

🔴🔵 JUNIOR RESULTS | ANOTHER BIG WEEKEND FOR OUR MARINERS🔵🔴

There were goals, clean sheets and plenty of determined performances across the club as our Junior Mariners once again represented Mount Martha with pride.

🔥 Standout results included:
⚽ U12D Captains with a brilliant 9-3 win over Langwarrin.
⚽ U14B Raiders were dominant in a 6-0 victory over Beaumaris.
⚽ U12C Mariners secured a strong 5-2 win.
⚽ U13D Captains continued their impressive season with a 4-0 victory.
⚽ U13C Mariners kept another clean sheet in a solid 3-0 win.
⚽ U13C Raiders also celebrated a 3-1 victory.

👏 There were also important wins for our U14C Mariners (1-0) and U17D Captains (2-1), while several of our teams battled hard against quality opposition in another competitive round of football.

A special shout out to all of our MiniRoos who proudly wore the red and blue across the weekend. Every match is another opportunity to learn, grow and enjoy the game with friends, and it's fantastic to see the enthusiasm and passion our youngest Mariners bring every Saturday and Sunday.

A huge thank you to our coaches, team managers, referees, volunteers and families. Your commitment and support continue to make our junior program one of the strongest on the Peninsula.

🔴🔵 SENIOR RESULTS | MARINERS WRAP

Another weekend in the books for our senior sides, with back-to-back wins for our State League 3 Women, plenty of positives from the SL6 Women and a much-improved showing from our Over 35 Men.

🔥 WOMEN'S STATE LEAGUE 3 | MMSC 4–0 ALPHINGTON

TWO ON THE BOUNCE! 💪

After breaking through for their first win of the season last week, the SL3 Women backed it up in style at Civic Reserve with a 4-0 win over Alphington.

Two wins. Two clean sheets. Six goals scored. None conceded.

After a challenging season, the girls are getting some reward for the work they've continued to put in week after week. A fantastic result and another big step forward for the group. 👏

💙 WOMEN'S STATE LEAGUE 6 | BRIGHTON 4–1 MMSC

Another result where the final score doesn't quite tell the story.

The SL6 Women continued their recent improvement and, after a difficult opening half, produced their best half of football this season, winning the second half 1-0.

And apparently Sophie Mills decided a normal goal wasn't good enough, producing what coach Vaughan Menlove has declared the goal of the season! 🚀⚽

⭐ Best Players: Cass Boyle, Sophie Mills, Rebecca Signey, Kiara Calvert & Jess Wilton.

There are some really encouraging signs coming from this group.

⚪ OVER 35 MEN | MMSC 1–2 EAST BENTLEIGH

One that got away.

The Over 35 Men deserved more from a competitive 2-1 defeat to East Bentleigh, with Oli Laube finding the net for the Mariners.

Perhaps the biggest indication of the group's progress is comparing this performance with the corresponding game earlier in the season. East Bentleigh gave us a proper touch-up last time around.

This time? A tight contest that could easily have produced points.

That's a pretty significant turnaround. 👏

❤️💙 OVER 35 WOMEN | MMSC 2–1

Another victory for our Over 35 Women, who continue their strong recent form with a 2-1 win at Civic Reserve.

A great result for the group and another three points for the Mariners!

A weekend highlighted by continued improvement across our women's program and another BIG win for the SL3 girls.

Back-to-back victories after waiting so long for the first one is something worth celebrating.

Keep building. Keep turning up. Keep backing each other.

Another fantastic weekend of junior football saw our Mariners produce some outstanding performances across the club, with plenty of goals, clean sheets and determined efforts.

👏 Other great performances:
🔹 U12D Captains fought hard for a 2-1 victory.
🔹 U13D Captains battled to an entertaining 2-2 draw.
🔹 U17D Mariners earned a valuable point with a 1-1 draw.

Not every result went our way, but every team continued to represent Mount Martha with pride, resilience and great sportsmanship.

A special shout out to our U15C Mariners and U13C Raiders, who enjoyed a well-earned bye this weekend. We can't wait to see you back out on the pitch next round!

🔴🔵 Weekend Senior Wrap-Up
There may have only been one win across the senior program this weekend, but there was no shortage of effort, resilience and reasons to be proud.

💪 Senior Men
The Senior Men produced one of their most disciplined performances of the season against league leaders Noble Park Suns. After a first-half display that matched the competition benchmark, the sides went into the break effectively level before the visitors' greater depth eventually told in a 4-1 result.

Despite the scoreline, the commitment was unquestionable. Every player battled for the full 90 minutes, with Dez Elliott pulling off a string of outstanding saves, while Ryan DeMase capped another tireless performance with his first senior goal for the club.

This group continues to show it can compete with anyone. With greater squad depth, the results will come.

🔵 Reserves
The Reserves faced another difficult afternoon against a strong Noble Park outfit, but once again the commitment of the squad could never be questioned.

Week after week, this group turns up not knowing exactly who will pull on the shirt alongside them, yet they continue to fight for each other and the club. That attitude has been the foundation of the rebuild and deserves enormous credit.

Hopefully the keeper will mentality show up next match and string together 90 minutes and not just 45.

💙 Women's State League 3
Congratulations to our State League 3 Women, who celebrated their first league victory of the season, defeating Yarra Jets 2-0 at Civic Reserve.

A brilliant brace from Signe Hardt sealed a well-deserved three points and rewarded months of hard work, persistence and belief.

Wins like this are never just about one afternoon—they're about every training session, every setback and every player who has continued to turn up and build something together.

Congratulations to Harry & Robin and the entire playing group. Here's to many more. 👏

❤️ Women's State League 6
Our State League 6 Women were desperately unlucky to go down 1-0 to Bentleigh United in what coach Vaughan Menlove described as their best performance of the season.

The Mariners created opportunities throughout and were rewarded with one of their strongest team displays of the year.

The Over 35 Men were forced to forfeit due to the non-family-friendly Sunday evening kick-off time and a shortage of available players.

The Over 35 Women enjoyed a well-earned weekend off after successfully hosting the Women's Super 35s Gala Day the previous weekend.
