WA’s Luke Perry and Luke Smith have proudly represented Australia at the 2026 AVC Men’s Volleyball Continental Championship held in Fukuoka, Japan between 4-13 September.
🇦🇺 Luke Perry, the national team captain and libero, has now amassed more than 255 international appearances. Perry led the Volleyroos to a fourth-place finish at the Championship, their highest placing at an AVC tournament since 2019. He will now return to Italy to line up for Modena in the 2026/27 Serie A season.
🇦🇺 Luke Smith, who represented Australia at the 2012 London Olympics alongside current Reds State League Coach Jon Uriarte, returned to the national team after a six-year absence. Smith played a central role in the Volleyroos’ impressive campaign and will now return to Czechia, where he will represent VK Pribram.
🔴 From beginning their volleyball journeys at Aquinas College, to representing the Volleyroos and competing with elite clubs around the world, to now giving back through our Reds and Luke Perry Volleyball Academy communities, Perry and Smith continue to be outstanding ambassadors for WA volleyball and the Australian national team.
Congratulations to you both on an incredible tournament. We look forward to seeing what the future holds, both on and off the court! 🟡🟢
