What a great program, what a fabulous memory and what a fabulous community we are. 🏆

🏃‍♀️ Recognition can help a great program reach even further.

For Womensport and Recreation Tasmania’s Get Active Program, winning the 2024 Active Tasmania Award was a chance to celebrate the teamwork behind a statewide program with real results.

The program is supported by a huge community, including the Tasmanian Government, the Public Health Service team, a voluntary board, partner organisations, facilitators, and more than 3,500 people who have taken part.

Since receiving the Award, Get Active Program has used footage from the Gala and the award badge in its promotional materials, helping share the achievement and inspire continued engagement.

That’s what the Tasmanian Community Achievement Awards are all about: recognising the people, groups and programs making a difference across the state. If someone comes to mind, nominate them for the 2026 Awards!
