To everyone who helped bring API 2026 to life, thank you.
Firstly, to every player who travelled from near and far to join us in Melbourne. We know it takes time, money and commitment, and it meant so much that you chose to spend these four days with us. It was an honour to host you.
After five months of planning, we welcomed more than 600 players for 580+ games across 16 courts. But what made API special was seeing the dodgeball community come together, reconnect with friends and make new ones.
Behind it all was a team who gave so much of their time and energy. There were 6 am starts, 11 pm finishes and people balancing event responsibilities with playing in multiple divisions. They kept showing up, solving problems and looking out for the players and each other.
We cared about making this a great experience for everyone who came. That’s what kept us going, and seeing the community enjoy what we had worked towards made it all worthwhile.
We’d like to recognise the people who helped make it happen.
