Mudgee Running Festival We are well known for the relaxed friendly atmosphere which is perfect for all types of runners. It’s a fun family event with a great festival atmosphere.

Annual events include a Marathon, Half Marathon, 5km & 10km Fun Runs, all held on the one day. The course weaves itself through the picturesque Mudgee valley; past vineyards, wineries, farmland, grazing cattle, and a band of friendly and enthusiastic volunteers cheering you on! There’s a jumping castle for the kids, a massage service for competitors, food & drinks, and very importantly, good coffee! Take a long weekend to enjoy your Mudgee experience. There are great cafes, charming wine bars and casual brasseries, with no less than 40 wineries within easy reach.

🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️ Good luck, Mudgee runners!
Mudgee locals Bec and Peter are swapping our quiet country roads for the bustling streets of Sydney tomorrow as they take on the TCS Sydney Marathon alongside 40,000+ other runners!
We’re wishing you both a fantastic run - hopefully all those Mudgee hills have you very well prepared! 😄 And good luck to anyone else who used MRF as a warm-up for tomorrow’s big event.

And keep an ear out for a familiar voice! 🎤 Matty Harris, who has brought the Mudgee Running Festival to life as our emcee for many years, is also known as “the voice of the Sydney Marathon” - he’s called every Sydney event since 2001. Matty will be emceeing the race from the Acics Hot Spot- cheering runners home and (discretely) handing out MRF 2027 flyers! 😁

Good luck Bec, Peter and anyone else taking on the 42.2km - and have a great day on the mic, Matty!
We’re slightly envious we’re not there on the start line with you. 🙌 Matt Harris

📸 Well this, ladies and gentlemen, is why we hire a professional photographer! 😂

We know you’re all super keen to see Col’s magic from last Sunday’s run, so keep an eye on our socials this weekend - Col Boyd Photography ‘s professional shots are coming and we’ll share them here as soon as we receive them.

In the meantime, please enjoy our own photographic efforts... the beautifully focused green grass, the deliberately distant shots to make you wonder where the runners are and the creative use of shadows. 😁
But seriously, how good is that bunting?! 💜💛💚

Rumours are circulating of a Tassie Tiger sighting on course at MRF 2026…

And thanks to Col Boyd Photography, we have photographic evidence! 📸👀

So, runners - did you see this mysterious creature out on course? Can you confirm if it was indeed the elusive Tassie Tiger… or perhaps some other fantastic local wildlife? 🤔

Just a slight hill to start our Anytime Fitness Mudgee 10km - to get our runners ready for Tinja 😊

What a start! 💜 Still bustling with energy and nerves, our 5km start was much less chaotic this year without 500 runners having to navigate a tight turn in Lawson Park 50m in.
We hope you enjoyed our new start line!

Thank you Mid-Western Regional Council and Orana Mid-Western Police District for making this possible 🙏
